Replacing cam sensor, rusted bolt...any tips?

Have everything removed except the bottom 10mm bolt on the upper timing cover. It's rusted/pretty much stripped. I can't believe how tight this bolt is!

Any tips? The working space is really tight...

just saw your post. I would just change the harness. the problem was always the harness, I dont believe the sensor was ever bad. my harness also tested voltages fine....for whatever odd reason........

The crank pulley will come right off, no belts are on the car now. I will check the tightness of the timing belt as you suggested.

well i put a junkyard motor in the car 2-3 years ago, maybe 10-20k miles ago or so....did the timing belt/waterpump and a bunch of other things too. seems like a waste of money for the waterpump, esp...

please watch the video. it is not the alternator, ps pump, or ac unit. all 3 belts were removed. the sound seems to be coming from the timing cover area....so im thinking idler pulley?

so you cannot swap to a jdm d17a with the US transmission? You need to buy both the engine and transmission, and swap the sensors from the US transmission to the JDM?

random update 8 months later: I never ended up fixing this, I got lazy and so used to just going all the way down to D2/D3 and then back up into whatever gear I wanted to go on. 25k miles later...

It's bad when you don't have an impact and everything is rusted. Regardless I don't think it will fit. The pipe is slightly different to the eye.

Well exhausts are pain in the ass to get off with no car lift and no garage, so useless work to take it off and it not fit ...

Hey guys, big exhaust leak just happened last night on my girls del sol. Needs new b pipe, and gaskets. I will buy the gaskets from honda, and new spring bolts...but I have a parts car 92 civic...
