You need your stock harness, obd1 ecu jumper (or obd0 b16 ecu), and an obd2 engine harness (for misc connectors)

Check to see if there is power at the pump connector when you turn the key on. There should be power for 2 seconds then turn off. If not there could be a main relay issue, wiring, or an ecu pump...

Well if you have power on the primary injector that's a good sign, but now you need to see if there is a pulsed ground going to the other wire. Either you can pick up a noid light or grab a 194 bulb...

d-series transmissions have a common problem of the input shaft bearing going out. it will make a grinding/chattering noise when in neutral with your foot off the clutch and also when at a steady rpm...

did you follow the correct vacuum routing for the egr? there should be a solenoid before the egr that is controlled by the ecu that will pulse the egr when needed.

there is a big difference between coolant temp sensor and coolant temp sender. the sender (one wire) is for the gauge cluster. the two wire next to it is for the ecu to read the coolants temp. check...

your timing was correct before considering you checkd the compression. i would make sure u didint leave anything unpluged. like the coolant temp sensor (done it before) if you leave that unplugged...
