Re: B18C idles at 1500 while rolling, 750 when stopped.

That's normal. I don't know about all Honda's, but most of them have a rolling idle and a standing idle. My 89 CRX and 97 GSR both have a faster idle when the car is moving.

I don't know if it's...

Re: (court76wi)

Sorry, I guess I'm over 2 years late with my reply. I no longer had this subscribed.

Yes the OEM type pressure plate fixed the issues. Disengagement, free travel, etc. The "perfromance" pressure...

WTB: exhaust valve for D16A6 head, OEM size, titanium perferred

I'm looking to purchase an exhaust valve(s) compatible with a D16A6 head. I unfortunately had a keeper break in my valvetrain and ended up bending a titanium exhaust valve.

need help identifying valve manufacturer please, picture

Hey guys. I need your help. I was AutoX'ing my little CRX last weekend and the motor floated a valve (D16A6). Luckily one bent exhaust valve and a shattered keeper is the extent of the damage. Piston...

Re: breather / catch can baffling pics, Allstar 36109

There's several places, you can just search "Allstar 36109 breather" (Allstar 36108 for a single port) and find who sells them.

A couple are…

Re: breather / catch can baffling pics, Allstar 36109

Including the air filter and drain valve it's about 11.25" long. Can is 3" round. Mounting bracket is 5" wide.

Instead of the Endyn type of setup I'm going to do something a little different. I...

breather / catch can baffling pics, Allstar 36109

I've read a lot of forums and threads regarding the different types of breathers / catch cans that you can purchase and make. One thing everyone agrees on is the baffling required to help prevent oil...

Re: NEW ANODIZED & POLISHED CATCH CAN KITS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How much for just the small polished can and filter with a flat mounting bar welded across the back. But instead of AN fittings have 3/8" NPT threaded bungs – 2 on the side and 1 on the bottom.

Re: (blacK20)

Stink, by "sort of ok" on your car. Would you say when it came to stopping the car and fade resistance they did fine? But they just didn't have enough bite or required a bit more pedal than you...

Re: Suspension geometry question

Well, technically bending any suspension component isn't legal. Including the knuckle.

But I'd just see bending the upper arms a lot more easier than bending the knuckle. Less force required plus...

Re: Suspension geometry question

You could also just borrow or buy a cheap eBay set of adjustable uppers. Mess with your camber and do some open track until you have it right where you want it. Then take your measurements from the...

Re: Suspension geometry question

Don't you mean the upper arms? You could bend the knuckle, that would be a trick for me to see. But bending or cutting and re-welding the upper arms would be easier...

Or is the difficultly why...

Re: annyone runing power steering...

You do get a better "feel" with manual steering. That's a given.

I think the main debate is how much effort do you want to put into it, once you get past the HP draw discussion. Manual steering...

Re: Is this uneven wear?

I wasn't knocking or countering you bud. If you reread one of my posts above I even recommend higher pressures like you do. I just quoted your pressures as a reference to my actual run pressures.

Re: DC2 brake ducts, solid design – not all zip ties and duct tape

Well, I won't comment regarding the Civic guys and their brakes. But the brake rotor is essentially a crude centrifugal fan or impeller – although not too aerodynamic. So there will be a slight...

Re: DC2 brake ducts, solid design – not all zip ties and duct tape

That looks very interesting. Air flow is pretty turbulent under the car, and some people have their air dams so low that I wouldn't know how much air that would deflect. It's kind of tucked back up...

Re: DC2 brake ducts, solid design – not all zip ties and duct tape

I'm not completely against trying something new. I know some friends that run Cobalts and so far they're the only pads to run over 24 hrs straight enduro with stock rotors/calipers on their ITR. If I...

Re: Is this uneven wear?

Every car is different. I was running upwards of 44 psi when I was running Azenis on an old '94 Integra and stock suspension / camber. On my CRX I still have a good amount of body roll, but at around...

Re: DC2 brake ducts, solid design – not all zip ties and duct tape

For under $100 I'm not going to complain much. I stop just as fast as any other car on the track. Now if rotor wear gets excessive or I start getting brake fade I might upgrade. I might need more...

Re: Is this uneven wear?

It's just from AutoX. Inflate your tires more at the next event.

Single side wear is due to camber or worn suspension components. Toe can cause feathering on one side, but the wear is on the...
