well in the auction I bought the part from they describe the spare knuckle as being for an EX/Si, specifically they state that it came off an 95 EX, non ABS.

the auction says it was pulled from a 95 EX non abs

just looking at the spindle the mounting holes appear to be the same distance from each other... but they are clearly further from the center...

I KNOW its a really retarded setup but I've got a busted wheel bearing that keeps going out due to a bad knuckle or hub... the new knuckle and hub...

i pulled off the drum and watched the shoes' behavior when the ebrake is pulled. its not even at all. when the handbrake is applied, only the upper end of the front shoe moves out. everything else...

ive already adjusted both star mechanisms, both sides are as tight as possible... i actually had to loosen them a click or so cuz they were too tight

and Ive adjusted the hand brake from inside...

i tested them individually by pulling up 2 or 3 notches (same on both sides) and then trying to spin them by hand.

they definitely weren't identical. similar but not identical. i remember...

i replaced the blown wheel cylinder on the passenger side, the drum on the passenger side only, and the shoes on both...

billy says you may need to replace the valve on the vacuum line, might be faulty due to having been backwards for so long... its a cheap place to start at least...
