Yeah there was enough, but I know what you are talking about haha my civic was like that and it was a pain in the ass. I got the diagram from my post in the audio section so its all working now.

I'm pretty sure that the 88-89 models did not have the clutch safety. Maybe it was just the 88's. Either way the harness had no plug for it and the pedal assembly has no switch on the clutch pedal....

I don't have to depress the clutch in my car to start it. The harness came out of an 88-89. I will check the ignition switch out though, that was actually the next thing on my list anyways.

Well I did try to jump it off of my friends battery and it still didnt start so that leads me to believe that my battery is not loosing charge.
