Re: (gstrudler)

I removed my cat when I did an h22 swap in my 96si. The only reason I did it was because the original had to be hacked up to get it out. Their is no way I could have reused the thing. It doesn't...

Re: starter/alternator differences w/ h22/h23 (h23vtec_dc2)

you need to count ribs on the belt or grooves on the pully. The two need to match. But if you run an H22 crank pully and alt but h23 a/c compressor you can run an H23 narrower belt with no problems.

Re: Oil capacity (MNsnowdaboy)

The DOHC VTEC system probably explains a lot of that. I don't think the v6 has balancer shafts which I believe take oil. Also the engineers could have designed the oil pan to hold more for various...

Re: Help! which head do I have? (captaindammit)

VTEC valve covers don't fit on non-vtec heads. Also check out the VTEC solenoid behind the dizzy. You can also tell by combaring the bolt patterns of the header and i/m to a regular H23.

If you read the details of the kit...

Re: What brake pad/rotor setup are you guys running? (Duck Sauce)

I use carbotech oe blanks and their bobcat pads. I could have spent a couple grand on large rotors and multi piston calipers but I chose to go this route because it was far better performance for...

Re: bogging...WOW help! (bubxba)

Years ago when I owned a FI Chevy it would bog like that every 3-6 months. I would then put fuel intector cleaner in it to fix it. I have never had that problem with a Honda but it would be...

If the car is already wired for the internal coil and you don't want to rewire it look around for a used one. Even post in the stickied wtb post. A lot of people who do h22a swaps use their...

Re: h22 swap in 92 lude si wiring help (blu_ej)

use your original wire harness, dizzy and coil. Then all you have to do is wire vtec which is simple and find an obd1 ecu. While you are in the market you may want to consider getting a p28 or...

Re: how to make h22 distributor work in 96 h23 wiring harrness (no1knows908)

h22 and h23 dizzys are not different usually different. Your problem is twofold. You have a JDM dizzy, which is different, and an obd2 car. You can use your h23 dizzy and coil if you put an obd2...

Re: (sihseries)

I cast another vote for control arms and knuckles. Also consider alt, a/c and p/s mounting brackets. The factory ones are heavy cast iron.

Re: help please! I need to replace prelude si exhaust downpipe (retrorat)

I believe that an H23 header will fit since it uses the same dohc non-vtec head. You can pick one up fairly cheap on ebay.

Re: alternater belt is scraping against the bottom of thetiming belt cover (otsegolectric)

One of those two bolts, I think the left one, is very short and holds that bracket in place. If you were to unbolt it the alt would be able to swing forward and back freely given that you already...

Re: dumb noob h23 ques. (gus straussen)

Re: ABS light is on. 92 SI Automatic AWS (Tiredlude)

According to my manual a main code of 1 and no sub code indicates "ABS pump motor over-run." You need to look at the flow chart on page 19-57 through 19-58. It is too long to type out.

My taste would go towards making the valve cover a brighter color to draw attention to it. It could match the color of your hoses for instance. If you wanted to keep it darker you could always sand...
