yes thats normal ud notice that ur coolant temp would spike while you idle. I doubt that its not working u would proly notice over heating issues while idling and stop and go traffic. I wouldnt worry...

just depends how u spray but generally a dark color paint=a dark primer/sealer. If ur a noob a black primer or sealer will help hide thin spots in the paint.

like he said most likely a bushing thats squeeking. A lot of the time its a trailing arm bushing.

check ur fuse's if that dont turn up anything id be willing to bet ur compressor is blown. And if that blew u mite as well rip ur a/c out cause replacing a compressor is expensive
