Re: $675 for rear quarter panel

Depending on the extent of damage, you might check with a paintless dent repair guy.

Re: Removing entire quarter panels

As above, I have used a sawzall to remove quarters from CB7s. I needed two batteries or had to charge it part way through.

Re: Speed Sensor

Bad VSS will also cause cruise control and odometer not to work. If either of those work, VSS is ok and problem is elsewhere (I had a problem with corrosion on the printed circuit board in the...

Re: How Do You Put Lower Timing Cover On

Goes in from below. Easier if the drive side motor mount is removed and the engine allowed to sag down (like when changing the timing belt).

08+ Accord V6 Exhaust Tip Inside Diameter?

Can any one tell me the inside diameter (or what size pipes it will fit) of the oval shaped factory exhaust tip used on 2008+ Accord V6's? (may also be used on 4's??)

Re: Headlight removal 90-93

He is making it a lot harder than it is. Do not remove the bumper skin from the beam; the bumper can be removed easily as an assembly. What he didn't show you is that there are plastic retainers...

Re: Help I have been Vandalized

There is a black plastic triangle on the inside of the door where the mirror is mounted. Pull at the lower rear corner of this cover and it should just pop off. If similar to my 4th gens, there...

Re: Replacing/removing front bulkhead 95 Accord

It doesn't look damaged enough to replace. A body shop could probably pull it back into shape. If you're creative and patient, you could probably rig something up to push or pull it back into...

Re: 1990 Honda Accord smells like fuel while driving, shitty mileage, and idles rough

On my 90, the main supply line from the tank rusted out at the rear end of the cluster of five lines that run under the car. There is a cover over all the fuel connections on the left side of the...

Re: Exhaust manifold/downpipe bolt sheared off...i need advice

Ditto on taking the manifold off. The stud has to come out from the bottom. If the stud broke instead of the nut coming off, you're not going to get it out grabbing it with a pair of pliers. If...

Re: 91 honda accord tensioner quewstions

You do not have to take off the timing belt or camshaft. Remove the valve cover, back off all the adjusting screws for the valves, loosen the cam/rocker retainers a few turns at a time, remove the...

Re: Installing new distributor.....need to reset timing???

The shaft in the distributor will only enage the slot in the end of the camshaft one way, but you will have to set the base timing. If you haven't removed the old one, make a mark across the boss at...

Re: 90 Accord PS pump seal kit or new pump?

Not much to completely resealing it. Simply disassembly, clean, reassemble with new seals. If you're going to take it off, might as well do it right. Take the opportunity to replace as much of the...

Re: 93 Wagon Auto Idle Vibration, Rear Mount Test?

As stated above, better than it was when I started, but still more vibration than my 93 EX auto. Haven't found a strobe light yet. Tried a timing light on the coil wire (should yield pulses 2x...

Re: 96 Accord LX Oil Leak - F22B2 Engine

If similar to the 4th gens, the oil cooler is only used on some models, EX and SE, I think.

For those above with this problem, do the oil sending unit first, then clean the back of the engine and...

Bethel? What state? I know there is a Bethel, OH, but somehow I don't think that's what you are talking about. Good luck.

Re: 93 Wagon Auto Idle Vibration, Rear Mount Test?

Checked ignition timing last night, about 14 degrees BTDC. Tweaked it up to about 16. Found a slight leak from #3 injector this morning when I started it (upper o-ring). Seemed to run a little...

Re: 96 Accord LX Oil Leak - F22B2 Engine

Rear main seal is actually on the right end of the engine, it is usually manifested by oil dripping from the cover on the bottom of the transmission where it meets the engine block. The oil pressure...

Re: Anti Freeze issue

Sounds like the overflow system isn't working correctly. With a properly functioning system, the radiator will be full to the top when you remove the cap. As the coolant and entrained air heat up,...

Re: 91 Accord LX needs some guru help!

Check the fuel pressure. Just because you're getting some fuel doesn't mean you're getting enough. Without digging out my manuals, pressure at the rail should be somewhere around 30 - 40 psi; lower...

Re: 93 Wagon Auto Idle Vibration, Rear Mount Test?

Balance shaft timing is OK (reset it, but I had it on TDC #1 exhaust, then redid it at TDC #1 compression). Doesn't appear to have improved any. Thought of a strobe light to determine vibration...

Re: New Brake Pads Dragging

I don't think it is the master cylinder. Sounds like it would be a good idea to rebuild both calipers; it is not very hard. Remove the calipers, remove the pads, use a little air pressure at the...

Re: Pedal goes to floor

If air got into the ABS control, I don't think you can get it out by manually bleeding. You may need to take it to a dealer or service shop that can properly activate and bleed the ABS control.
