I appreciate all the info, sorry its been so long since ive gotten back to this forum. I actually still have the noise after getting a properly tuned ecu, so its no the original thought of being lean...

Sigh...now this makes sense too. When the temp is cooler the more air the engine is getting, so if the engine is getting more air and its running lean, thats obviously a no no. Wondering if the p13...

Hmm sounds like a grounding problem to me. unbolt that main ground check the wires right there, and clean the connectors.

wow...this is what happens when i don't check my post in 3 days.

I personaly ran this engine with a p13 to start. But i now have a chipped ecu with a stock f20b basemap.

Noise im getting...

Was checked for valve adjustment, and they are all in spec.

I could very well be wrong on the terminology, I assume it's running rich due to the overwhelming fuel smell. Though the car is not putting out any abnormal amount of smoke from a prelude with no cat.

I had this same issue recently, i think my issues was injectors, because after running seafoam through the fuel system it cleared out the issue. Though my car still runs incredibly rich.

F20b's are sorta rare for the most part so theirs not a ton of info out there,Generally i know the h22's have cold start engine...
