Na, sorry, hope that helps someone. Obviously if u are getting your car to run by holding on to your key, then youll know its probably just the ignition switch.

I don't know if you seen this post, talking bout that egr valve - which could too be causing a vacuum leak as well.

What engine do u have in there? If its the 2.2 vtec, is it the h22a1 swap? There's a badge/milled flat spot(1" sq) on the front of the motor that specifies what it is. It might be covered with...

Its sounds like u may have a minor vacuum leak. When she warms up, its only then that u have the issue. U could either find out where the leak is and seal it up, or u could adjust the idle itself....

I had that problem on my 93 accord and fixed it. Updated and posted my fix. It was an exposed dimmer wire arcing on the post - only thing was none of the parking lights worked tho.

Update: went and looked at autozones photos of the 2 different models... on the accord, it has a seperate ignition switch, but on the civic its a complete unit, cannot be disassembled. So the civics...

Starts but doesn'trun. As soon as u let go of the key, to relaxed position (on) it shuts off. If held past on, it runs. I've replaced one on a 93 accord, bought it from autozone for like $90i think....

another thing - inside the distributor I had to replace the igniter, behind the rotor. Mine wouldn't start for some reason - it probably arched on something and shorted it out. took 15-20 minutes to...

ya nova, sounds kinda like what was happening to my accord when my fuel pump went out. Clicks from the relay were good, but no pump - or weak pump.
