Re: Key won't budge (blackludebosh)

Probably because there is some weight on your steering, try waggling the steering wheel hard in each direction at the same time you turn the key. Careful not to exert any more force than normal on...

Re: headlights turn on intermitently. (dumkopf)

Possibly a faulty switch, try a short spray of WD40 into the switch.

Re: Synthetic Oil: Is It Really Worth It? (Mike1995HondaPrelude)

IMO it's not so much whether you use synthetic or normal, as long as it's the correct grade for driving conditions, and a decent brand.

It's better to do more frequent oil & filter changes to...

Re: 99 prelude v-tec engagement???? vtec solenoid (keiths04)

Might just be a case of the vtec screen in the valve needs taking out and cleaning, then replace and use a new gasket, a part blocked screen can cause vtec not to engage or be intermittent.

Re: ---- Steering Wheel Shakes When Braking ???? ------ (skn181)

Also worth having an alignment done and wheels balanced, check there's no play in the front ball joints, they can all add to juddering when braking.

Re: rear brake squeak, bearing? (fast_honda)

A wheel bearing tends to make a low pitched droaning type humming noise all the time, that increases with speed.

Re: Honda Prelude 1997-2001 2.3 (djshandy)

I am in the UK too, take my word for it I have had all the different gens and the 2.3 was a 4th gen, the 5th gen did not come with 2.3

Just 2.0 and 2.2 vtec in the 5th gen.

Re: Car wont start when it rains???? (extracrunchie)

Give your dizzy and ignition leads a good clean, then a good spray of WD40 it will help keep dampness from settling on your electrics.
