Re: Did I recieved a bad ball joint? Please help!!

The joint you got was likely very inexpensive and it probably came with its own nut (a nylock?)

Re: Koni shocks with OEM springs

The bumpstop is part of the rate on these cars. You're using the bumpstops every time you drive it.

My point was that you probably don't want to cut them because you will change their "spring...

Re: Koni shocks with OEM springs

Your mechanic probably thought you would "top out" the shock if you used the a HIGHER snap ring position than stock.

You're using a lower position.

No, it won't ruin the piston...but you will...

Re: Chinese product or Legit?

Eh...a lot of factory supplied parts on your Honda are probably made in China.

The only way to actually ensure genuine Honda quality is to buy the parts at a dealer.

There is no aftermarket...

Re: 2000 Honda Civic Si Pure Stock.

You need Class 10.9 (metric) flange bolts in a 1.25mm pitch. I believe they are M10 for the rear UCA.

May be kinda tough to find. Honda uses weird thread counts.

Class 8.8 will not work. ...

Re: hard race front camber arms on stock suspension dc2

Slipping almost any adjustable ball joint would be very unlikely.

In most cases, you'd bend the spindle or hub first.

Re: hard race front camber arms on stock suspension dc2

Adjuster bolts from rockauto? What is that?

Where did your friend say the HR arms would rub? On the springs? Stick your hand in there when the car is on level ground and see how much room is left....

Re: EG short knuckles

Yep. Shortened ones are "chopped" between the hub and UCA.

Re: EM1 Fromt Swaybar Overkill?

Without the gigantic front bar, there will be a LOT more body roll and the car won't be as stable on the highway or over bumps.

You can find out for free, to what extent this will affect your...

Re: EM1 Fromt Swaybar Overkill?

You're asking about the factory sway bar then? Not sure what you mean by overkill?

Leave it in. The factory setup is dialed toward understeer...so it will retain some of that factory...

Re: Will spherical bearings last on a street car?

Yes. OMG. We all get it. You're a chassis expert.

However, I said what you said before you said it.
Read my post below.

How on Earth did you get the impression that I suggested just blindly...

Re: Will spherical bearings last on a street car?

OP's not interested anymore.

But...again, BOOTED is key to longevity.

Sealed boots signify that the joint has a plastic liner. And boots keep junk from getting into the bearing.

Lots and...

Re: Suspension experts, I need some serious help with an issue in the rear

Yes, I would definitely measure on a more even surface. Most garages are not very even and will result in different ride height appearances.

There is virtually no hope that anyone's driveway is...

Re: Will spherical bearings last on a street car?

BOOTED sphericals in the right spots should last well. Lots of cars come with spherical bushings from the factory (Subaru, Mitsubishi, Porsche, Acura, BMW, etc). I'm sure plenty of 100-200K mile...

Re: GC Coilovers

Get taller springs from Eibach. You can order direct or thru a dealer.

I think GC's come with 2.25 or 2.5" diameter springs. So just buy that ID of Eibach spring in whatever height/rate you want. ...

Re: Late 2005 Honda Pilot Brake Line Bleeding Problem

What do you mean, "everything correct"?

Use a 1 man bleeder. Its easier to bleed brakes with the car running also.

Re: 07 Civic Si 4D Lowering help

I don't really see an up-side to lowering springs anymore (no pun intended...but please feel free to point out my cleverness to your friends).

Buy a nice set of street coilovers.

Re: PROFORGED Swaybar endlinks for Accord/TSX

There's no quality like OEM quality.

I have a very hard time believing that any non OEM link will last as long as stock.

The stock links are cheap if you buy them from Honda for a 03-07 Accord...

Re: Eibach springs not level at the top = top hats lopsided!

OEM springs aren't flat topped.

The eibach uses dead coils up top.
They will compress more than the OEM live coils. Once bolted down, and/or with the car's weight, they should become the same...

Re: flipping tie rods

I think K tuned? makes a bumpsteer kit with special bolts for the taper. It drops the tie rods down.

But why would that affect ride quality?
