04 Civic Oil Pump O-Ring

Good afternoon! I just returned from getting my oil changed and "complimentary" multi-point inspection on my Civic. It's got ~213,000 miles on it. Besides wanting $2800 worth of work on a car that I...

Re: Engine Temp In Cold Weather

That's a good plan. I'll try that. I haven't replaced anything yet because I've been waiting for some (slightly) warmer weather. Last night I drove it around town and it didn't seem to be getting...

Re: Engine Temp In Cold Weather

Thanks for the response, that does make sense. The heater core is probably partially clogged. I bet there may be some air bubbles in there as well. However, with the temperature of the heat coming...

Engine Temp In Cold Weather

Hello! I've had my Civic less than a year. I posted here about it last February after I picked it up. Long story short, it had a bad head gasket and the dealership I bought it from decided to replace...

Re: Thermostat Replacement

I had this issue last winter when I first got my Civic. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but these cars are known for their head gasket issues. The dealership I bought mine from replaced the head...

Re: 04 Civic Air Conditioning Problem

Oh boy does it work! Freezing cold. So cold that now I question if the AC is working in my truck... I love my Civic! This is totally the car I would've loved to have as a teen, I think that's why I...

Re: 04 Civic Air Conditioning Problem

Sorry for the delayed response. I think I fixed it. Through some troubleshooting, I narrowed it down to the thermal protector, and paid too much money to have a shop confirm.
After buying the new...

Re: 04 Civic Air Conditioning Problem

Does anyone know the diagnostic self test you can do on the HVAC panel? I tried what I thought it was, but it doesn't seem to work.

04 Civic Air Conditioning Problem

Hey everyone, slowly but surely I'm going to get this car fixed and reliable. Just today I tried to use the A/C. I thought it was working, but it quit eventually (I'm not entirely sure that it was...

Re: 04 Civic Inner Fender Shields

Unfortunately, I think I am. That sucks, what a poor design. Has anyone done anything to prevent stuff from getting up there? At 200,000+ miles, I feel that I want to do whatever I can to make it...

04 Civic Inner Fender Shields

Hello there! So, my Civic saga has finally come to a close and now that the car is back in my possession, I'm trying to work on it and fix it up. I have a question regarding the plastic bits you...

Re: 2007 Civic LX

Thank you for the reply. I'm thinking along the same lines as you are. Unfortunately, I don't think it's going to work out. I don't think they're willing to go as low as I need them to be.

2007 Civic LX

Good morning everyone! Long story short (I posted in the previous gen forum). I picked up a 05 Civic Coupe that has a bad head gasket about a month ago. After a few days of no heat I brought it back...

Re: 04 Civic No Heat at Idle

Mine improved for a day or two after adding additional coolant and kind of "burping" the system, but it got really bad once I ended up finally taking it back to the dealership. To be honest, I'm not...

Re: 04 Civic No Heat at Idle

That's the weird part, in my particular case I am not experiencing the overflow issue that would indicate a blown head gasket (I had this issue with my Subaru 2.5GT). However, from reading that other...

Re: 04 Civic No Heat at Idle

Unfortunately, I don't believe Minnesota has that. The car has over 200,000 miles and I paid around $3000 for it including tax, title, license, etc. I received a call back from the dealership...

Re: 04 Civic No Heat at Idle

Well, I tried and failed. I ended up taking it to the dealership I bought it from. They're going to take a look at it and "heavily discount" any services it needs. I don't know why I sometimes think...

Re: 04 Civic No Heat at Idle

Awesome, thanks a ton! That helps a lot! I'm going to see if I can get the dealership I bought it from to do a coolant flush and a heater core flush for free. We'll see how well that turns out. I'd...

Re: 04 Civic No Heat at Idle

Thank you for the advice! I was reading a few reviews of the product and it seems like that's just the way these "newer" cars are with their cooling systems. I need this tool to properly get the air...

Re: 04 Civic No Heat at Idle

The first time I let it idle the engine temp dropped. However the second time I let it idle, initially the temp dropped and then came back up, resulting in stronger heat out of the vents. I guess my...

Re: 04 Civic No Heat at Idle

Thanks everyone for your responses. I ended up getting some cheap coolant and topping off the radiator (did not realize I needed a specific type). I burped the system as best I could. When I drove...

04 Civic No Heat at Idle

Hi there everyone, I'm now a Honda owner after a long period of not having one. I picked up a 04 Honda Civic EX Coupe 5 speed yesterday from a dealership. It has 203,000 miles on it. Last night as I...

Re: 94-97 Rear Power Windows (two_brothers_racing)

So what you're saying is once you get inside the door and unbolt the 2 bolts that hold the windows on the arm there is should just come out? I've removed the front windows before, just not the back...

94-97 Rear Power Windows

Hey everyone, it's been a while since I've been here. I've got a question about the rear power windows in my 96 Accord sedan. I'm wondering how I can take them out of the car. I know how to...

Re: (Slo_Accord)

Most newer sub amps have line inputs with some funky looking connector that's generally included. At least that's how it was with my Infinity's. I've had to use them once when my after market deck...
