Re: 1991 Honda Accord LX suspension question (smike207)

Try squirting a little oil on each suspect spot one at a time.
You can get oil into the ball joint boots with a syringe.

Re: 99 Honda Accord.. HELP PLZ! (qzack96)

I assume the noise is related to engine RPM, not vehicle speed?
Get under the hood and increase engine speed using the throttle linkage and listen to where the noise comes from.
Check your trans...

Re: headlight issue (Krazzeminn)

Sounds like a circuit to circuit short that bypassed the fuses. You need a schematic and start tracing wires looking for burns.

Re: Oil on the plugs - '93 Accord (H22PwrdInspire)

Just eavesdropping on this conversation. I have a 93 also and had the same oil leak onto the plugs. I bought the gasket kit and it included the large valve cover gasket, four round flat gaskets which...

Re: no start, no spark (twotonecivic)

Did you confirm that the igniter is working properly, besides just getting power?
Although I don't think an igniter can go bad, work for another month, then go bad again. Sounds like a loose...

Intake/Exhaust Valve Adjustment--Advice Needed--

My car is a '93 with 300K miles. I don't think the valves have ever been adjusted and hope that doing so will add some pep back to the motor.

I have the Chilton manual, but have been burned before...

Re: no start, no spark (twotonecivic)

Sounds like you checked everything related to the ignition (spark) and it's all good.
Did you check for proper fuel delivery?

Re: Help!!!! my engine is not turning over (rayrayh22a)

Holy cow, you're post is hard to follow. Be more specific about how you tested the starter. What do you mean the starter is blown, but is in perfect working order?
I'll try to help out, but you need...

Re: Not your average 'Car Won't Start' Thread (pwrofdrm)

Are the plugs of the proper type and did you check the gap?

Some of your comments (oil in cylinder causing loss of compression???) don't make sense, which makes me think you're not 100% familiar...

Re: stupid emergency brake (candysnow007)

Have dealt with many vehicles with this problem:

If you don't care about the wheels/rims, slam it with a heavy hammer (I used a nice, soft deadblow hammer=no damage). This will mainly bust loose...

Re: brake problem please help (Jxi8s2k)

Your post is a little strange. Why don't you ask your buddy what he meant by locking brakes and what the slider is?
Try holding the brake pedal down with the car running and see if it creeps down or...

Re: 1993 Accord EX Died while Driving. Cranks but doesn't start (loonysalmon)

Sounds like something responding to your car's temperature.
You need to check for spark WHILE your car is in its freshly dead state.

Re: Changing rear brake shoes, and general questions (gshock)

take both drums off at the same time, but leave the brakes alone on one side so you can look at them while trying to do the other side.

the parking brake must be off for the whole time.

you...

Re: Higher idle with headlights on (tpot90)

your charging system is failing under the load of your headlights, so the pcm tells the rpms to ramp up so the alternator will run faster.

check your battery and alternator for proper function.

Re: Rear end noise!!!! (chefscottd)

tire might be rubbing, look for signs of polish in the wheel well or on the tire.
brakes might have lost a part inside the drum.
you might be dragging something you picked up on the road.
bad...

Re: Spark plugs and rumbling (tonyw85)

Buy a valve cover gasket kit and some sealant. Replace all the gaskets and put a small amount of the sealant on both sides of each of the gaskets that seal around the spark plug ports.

I once...

Re: Brake hydraulics starting to fail (herrgolf)

Reason you can get pressure with a quick pedal application is because the worn seal inside the master cyl. doesn't have time to let fluid seep past it. But, it will still leak as you hold the brake...

Re: 90 Accord Clutch Help (three11jeff)

Sounds impossible.
Trace the whole system again. If you're losing that much fluid, it must be leaking out of somewhere.

Re: brake question? (burton_o6)

Can you pump up the pedal with the engine running, or does it just go to the floor every time?

Does the car stop well?

Did you ever take the rear brakes apart and inspect them? A low pedal can...

Re: brake question? (melaccord98)

I'm hearing no reason to jump right to thinking the master cylinder is bad.
You could have air in the system (did you open any part of the system?)
You could have a leak somewhere (are you losing...
