I did mine using Haynes manual, not very organized, lousy pictures, mixed in with the V6 motor, not very detailed. But cheap and got the job done.

I'd definitely use Helms from now on.

I think it's about $210 - $275 for the compressor after the core charge. It's not that hard to change out the compressor yourself, especially if it's already a R134a system.

I haven't read too many problems with the 4cyl trannys for the 5th gen. Accords.

I have a '96 Accord EX auto with over 82k, looks like tranny is going to outlast the motor.

I just did my timing belt and I changed out the tensioners, spring, seals and the water pump. Why leave any reason to break open the front end again. Once is painful enough.
