Re: what do you do to stay cool when it's hot and no ac

Yeah, but where do you live, and how long does that last? Not long, i'm guessing.

Re: what do you do to stay cool when it's hot and no ac

Yup. Been without a/c in my 88 Lude for quite a few years, now. In MS., it gets hot in the summer. I just put the windows down and roll 70-80 on the interstate to get the air movin'.

Re: engine swap, axles

I'm not too sure they would, but i personally would just get the b series axles for the swap. Save yourself the headache, or do some research and find out if they'll work. Google is your friend.

Re: skunk2 lcas and koni yellow shock

No problem. I recently acquired an 88 CRX in a trade with my old 92 Eclipse, and I was asking a coworker about the lca's. I work at a Honda dealership. That's when he told me about the split on...

Re: WHY THE **** DO MY BRAKES STILL DRAG

You should never have to sand anything on a brake pad or shoe. If you do, then you have the wrong ones.

Re: WHY THE **** DO MY BRAKES STILL DRAG

No sir. You need at least a little drag on the rear drum brakes. If they're barely touching, then the rear brakes and parking brake won't work like it's supposed to, and you'll have a weak pedal. ...

Re: skunk2 lcas and koni yellow shock

Sounds to me like you ordered the lca's for an 89-91. The 88 was different in the fact that the lca had the hole in it for the strut to fit down into. 89-91, the strut bottom has tabs that fit over...

Re: j30 swap in old school hatch

Let's hope you never do, either. You only seem to have nothing but shite to say to most people, anyway. If you're sad and miserable, there's no reason to take it out on other people.

Re: j30 swap in old school hatch

I second that. I'd rather have a 5G chassis to drop a V-6 in, but all I have right now is a 3G. If i could find a 5G with a toasted motor, i'd snatch it up.

Re: j30 swap in old school hatch

Werd. You gonna do the V-6 into a 5G Prelude? That would be awesome. I wanna do a V-6 into my 88 Lude. I'm thinking about a J30 from an 03-07 Accord.

Re: b20a5 in a crx

If you let all the naysayers sway you from trying this, i'll be glad to buy your B20A5 off of you. I have an 88 Lude, and i'd love to have a spare motor. Plus, i've been thinking about trying to...

Re: vtec engagement question,have searched

Yes there is a sensor to tell whether the car is in gear and that gear is engaged....meaning load on the engine. It is called the MAP sensor. MAP readings are one of the most critical sensors on the...

Re: b20a5 in a crx

I don't think that anyone makes mounts to put the B20A5 motor in a CRX. At least none that i have found. Someone had made a thread asking about the same thing you did, but pretty much the majority...

Re: j30 swap in old school hatch

Not really. Tim Beadle has done it in an EG chassis, with no problems, other than the intake sticking up a little high. Fitment was no problem for him. There's still plenty of room in the EG...

Re: j30 swap in old school hatch

OP, don't worry about these asshats. They are the reason why this site is referred to as Hater-Tech. I've been tossing around the idea of dropping a V-6 into my 88 Prelude forever. Before i ever...

Re: H22 Tranny to F22 Tranny

Cool. Thanks. I've got an F23 sitting in my garage just begging to be turned into a frankenstein motor with an H22 head. What would be the recommended H22 manual trans to use, or is there only one...
