Re: 1989 Honda Accord Hatchback DX

You won't find a red hatchback in anything but a DX. And with that low of mileage, it will be hard to find an LXi in good shape. But they are out there. If it's running good, it will probably run...

Re: 1980 Accord dies

Sounds like maybe your choke is sticking shut. Warm up your car and take off the air cleaner lid and see if the choke plate is still shut. Maybe try to open it up with a screwdriver or something see...

Re: Tons of Honda 600's....

No way! That's awesome! At the LeMay museum? Won't have to drive so far this time. But that drive off of Hwy 26 was freaking GORGEOUS.

Re: 1983 Civic DX 1500 5-Speed

Usually the smoking in an old Honda is valve stem seals. It can be done in a weekend. I mean, it's hard to say because we can't see how much it's smoking. Excess oil on the rear window is kinda...

Re: Blown head gasket

The only way you'll get new head bolts, is if you measure yours and call ARP. There is probably an application that will fit. I used D16Y headbolts in my 81 Accord. Blew 2 head gaskets before, since...

Re: 1980 Civic 1500cc swap?

I know a guy in Portland who got his Accord w/ Weber right through DEQ without any problems. He didn't even have a cat in the car, but all they did was make him run the sniffer. Even with the Weber...

Re: 83 civic ignition control problem

The "rebuilds" that you can get (I'm guessing you got an A-1 Cardone distributor?) are total rubbish. I've had one come right out of the box with a seized bearing, one that fell apart in the box, and...

Re: 1982 Prelude will barely start, Help!

Wow awesome! Thanks for the final update. Not enough people do this. Awesome to hear that you got it fixed and that it's running awesome! Should run awesome for a long time now that you got the most...

Re: 1986 Honda Accord stalls or won't restart.

TW Sensor, I bet. You probably have the same thing I had happen to my 89. Check the two sensors on top of the thermostat housing. The wires broke off of both of those sensors on mine. Got new plugs...

Re: 1982 Prelude will barely start, Help!

It almost sounds like a choke issue... is it opening up after the car warms up? But if that were the case, it would be running fine when it was cold... You MIGHT still try another coil if you can...

Re: 1983 Civic DX 1500 5-Speed

Cleaning up nicely! The tint should help keep the dash and interior from destroying itself. I need to do that to my car... I've noticed the dashboard starting to burn from sun exposure...

Re: 82 accord seats

Only thing I know of that directly swaps in is the 2g Prelude seats. I don't think they are going to sit in there any lower though. The 3g Accord seats won't bolt in, as they have a horizontal rail...

Re: Adjusting cruise control

Urm, lets see... there is a speed sensor in the speedometer that sends VSS pulses to the control box. The control box tells the actuator to depress and release the gas pedal. There is adjustment on...

Re: 81 Prelude Flooding

It sounds like you might just need to adjust the float level. Did you do that on the new carb? If it's too high, it will flood the car. There should be a sight glass on the carb that peeks into the...

Re: Looking for some weber carb help/information

Soooo... the fuel pump will only kick on when the engine is turning over. It uses the tach signal from the coil to trigger the fuel pump relay. Verify that you have spark before you replace any of...
