Update on the car. It's still for sale, will be as long as this thread lives.

This weekend it received a new AEM Fuel Rail and a new AEM FPR, because for some reason the old FPR started leaking...

So there's nothing connected to the other end of that shaft? It's not going to disconnect something on the other end, inside the trans case?

Update: we also have a 92 gsr. Disconnected the cable from its transmission and that lever/throw out bearing rod moves easily up and down... Which leaves me to think my LS has a bad trans or shaft...

Our '05 just hit 107k and we changed ours. Cost us $625 with an oil change included.

Dont wait, change it. Cheaper to maintain than to replace or repair.

Well, for starters, your b18a1 is most likely obd0, or obd1 if you're lucky. Your 96 is mostikely obd2. Which means your cars harness will have more plugs and connectors than the engine has sensors....
