10 volts to the coil is pretty low, should be 12 minimum. Whats your no load battery voltage? also leave the meter hooked up to the batt adn look at voltage there while you try to start the car what...

my thoughts exactly,

blackstone charges 22.50 per analysis plus the postage to get the sample there, they even send you free sample containers.

you can have the results delivered by mail...

using a multimeter multimeter:

check the wire going from the coil to the center distributor for its resistance/ continuity.
let us know the value you get.

check for any debris in the boot...

what gear are you in from 2100-1700? how fast are you going when it does this?

try getting it to do it in all 5 gears as well as neutral, see if it actually tranny related or not

you planning on going turbo? the rad looks good and definately opens up a lot of room to fit it? Ill be putting a turbo motor in this coming spring/summer and the extra room would help a ton

from what ive heard of hot tanking its takes off all of the oily greasy crap, from my understanding it basically cooks the parts in degreasing solvent.

Ive never hasd anything hot tanked...

a rod thru the block will be far worse than a "bad bottom end" that's an instantly fatal injury for the block, engines dont run for more than a couple seconds after that happens, the grease youre...

its part way off the spline so thats good, try some wd-40 or other penetrant to hopefully act on the rust, let it soak for a while too. Heat could also help, dont use a torch though, you run a high...
