accord transmission reassembly

94 accord 5 speed manual transmission. I am putting it back together and the housing won't slide down all the way onto the clutch housing, feels like it's hanging up where one of the gear shafts is...

P2A5 and H2A5 tranny interchangeable?

Anyone know if the P2A5 and H2A5 transmissions are interchangeable? Looks like all the bolt holes are the same, but not sure if everything else is compatible. Thanks.

Re: Help w/drivers side window, won't roll up or down

No ideas huh?

To make it even more confusing, I took the door off to check some of the wires for voltage. I stuck the probe from my voltmeter right into one of the wires (through the insulation)...

Help w/drivers side window, won't roll up or down

Window is in the rails. I've replaced the switch and the motor. Worked for a while then stopped working again. I've checked the motor and switch and both are good. All fuses are good too.

The...

Re: Drivers side window still doesn't work, replaced regulator, motor, switch

Ok, it's working now. I don't know why, but this is what happened. I went to test the voltage at the fuse again, just to make sure. I had voltage on both sides of the fuse. (I tested it with a...

Re: Drivers side window still doesn't work, replaced regulator, motor, switch

Ok, never mind on that one. When I checked at first I pulled the fuse out and tested it, there was 12 volts to one side. I just checked the voltage , with the fuse in on the test tabs, and there's...

Re: Drivers side window still doesn't work, replaced regulator, motor, switch

If you mean both sides of where the fuse plugs in then yes, there's voltage on both.

I've checked under the dash, and in the door, and can't see anywhere it's broken. I know it's possible, but it...

Re: Drivers side window still doesn't work, replaced regulator, motor, switch

Ok. I checked. I've got 12 volts at the fuse. (#11).

I checked the harness. I've got 12 volts only at one spot, right here (circled in red)

Re: Drivers side window still doesn't work, replaced regulator, motor, switch

I'll check those voltages, and check the wires in the door and see what I can find.

Drivers side window still doesn't work, replaced regulator, motor, switch

My drivers side window stopped rolling up or down. The passengers side still worked, so I figured it must be the regulator or the motor, so I replaced them. It didn't work after that, so I figured...

Re: Engine shudders, worn engine mount?

I haven't checked for oil leaks lately, it's pretty clean, but it's been a while since I've checked.

It just started doing this within the last two weeks. So it was fine for almost a year before...

Re: Engine shudders, worn engine mount?

I looked at the engine mounts and there's no visible tears or wear, but I couldn't get a good look at all of them. Like I said, the clutch is only a year old, so I hope it's not the clutch. There...

Re: Help identify electrical connector in door

I've got an HX. There's no tweeter, so that could explain the extra connection. There's one to the door lock, one for the window switch, one for the mirror, one for the speaker, and that extra one....

Re: Engine shudders, worn engine mount?

I don't think, or at least I hope that it's not, the clutch. It's only a year old.

Engine shudders, worn engine mount?

The engine kind of shudders, or shakes, usually when I'm putting it into first gear. If I ease it in real slow it's just fine, and if I shift into first real quick it's fine, it's when I shift...

Re: Where to buy paint that matches color code?

Re: Gas Pedal is semi sticking???

Check the throttle cable. There's a rubber boot over the end of it that can collect dust/dirt inside of it and cause it to stick. Spray a bunch of wd-40 or silicone lube up there.

Re: Identify these wires

Thanks. If they are not OEM, that would explain why everything is working fine even though that isn't connected. As far as I know there is no alarm, or keyless entry, so maybe the previous owner...

Re: Identify these wires

Yep, drivers side, under the steering wheel. It's a group of wires, with a mesh sleeve around them to hold them together, and some sort of conenctor at the end. Hopefully someone recognizes these.

Re: Identify these wires

Yeah, I know the pic is bad. My dad took the pic and I think that's probably the best he's going to get. I'm thinking someone might be able to identify it because of that connector on the end,...

Ok, my dad now has my 94 Accord. He get's looking at it, and can see these wires under the dash that aren't hooked to anything. The pic isn't very good, but anyone recognize these?

Icon2 Re: Do I need to sand off all the clear coat?

Ok, what about this? I don't know if it will show up very well in the pics, but the clear coat is starting to peel off of the top of the door, but it looks fine on the rest of the door. If I sand...
