Re: Fluidampr - jetspeedz's Personal Impressions - Review & How-to-Install write-up
I don't believe there is anything out there which is an alternative, the tool is well worth it to make sure the installation is done properly to avoid any kind of damage to the crank or pulley. I...

Glad it has worked out for you as well.
Hard to imagine anyone having problems, it's maintenance free unlike ATI.

Re: Fluidampr - jetspeedz's Personal Impressions - Review & How-to-Install write-up
Just wanted to provide a follow up almost a year later of daily driving. The Fluidampr has been flawless, no issues at all. Very happy with this mod and well worth it.

Re: Fluidampr - jetspeedz's Personal Impressions - Review & How-to-Install write-up
Its been a while since I've installed the Fluidampr, just an update, so for so good, no issues what so ever, I don't see myself updating again unless I run into any issues.

Re: Fluidampr - jetspeedz's Personal Impressions - Review & How-to-Install write-up
Couldn't agree more, there are much better options than OEM when modding the motor. I went with Fluidampr for all the reasons i describe in the article, set it and forget it, one less thing to worry...

Did you read the entire article?
Here is the fact in terms of ATI maintenance:

Re: Fluidampr - jetspeedz's Personal Impressions - Review & How-to-Install write-up
Good point a lot of bad advice out there.
The take away should be that the OEM damper was designed for an oem setup. As soon as you mod the motor the oem damper is less effective, you need to...

Re: Fluidampr - jetspeedz's Personal Impressions - Review & How-to-Install write-up
Very happy to hear it worked as advertised for you. I couldn't be happier myself. The upside compared to ATI and OEM is you never have to worry about replacing it due to rubber deterioration. Never...

It is well worth the price tag for your motor. No reputable engine builder who builds motor will run any lightweight pulley. They will either run fluidampr or ati and I gave the reasons why I put...

Re: P2W clearance with CP pistons
That depends on the type of coating, it ranges in price, the rule of thumb is the higher the price the more protection against detonation for a longer period of time.

Re: B16C6 ring gap issues
send them back and get a new set, simple or take a chance and run these, since the gap is much wider expect more oil burning and white smoke at least from that cylinder.

Re: P2W clearance with CP pistons
I wouldn't worry about it, you will get enough carbon build up on that you wont see it after your first drive. I would however recommend coating the pistons if you have the cash. It goes a long way...
