Anyone install a short-shifter?

Been thinking about buying a short shifter for my 05 Accord so the shift knob sits lower and I can engage gears faster. Have any of you bought a short shifter kit and how well did it work? Did it...

Re: tsx mirrirs on 03 accord (msedacca)

Keep in mind the 05 Accord Hybrid comes stock with turn signal mirrors that look exactly like the ones on the TSX, so I would bet it will be a perfect fit. The wiring is what would keep me from this...

Re: quick rpm gauge qustion (efrex)

The speedo on my old Accord did the same thing. Take out the cluster, pull the plug to the tach, spray with white lithium grease, and reattach. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

Re: RSX-S Flywheel swap into 03 accord (TheSkip)

I too have the K24A4 in mine, so I'm interested in this, but what would the advantage be? Is the RSX flywheel lighter or something? Our cars already rev and drop revs quickly, so I don't know if that...

Re: 5th gen guage cluster lights (ricebike)

1. Actually, the needles are not lit on the 5th gen and older models. The guages are backlit and lit from the front as well. The projection lighting makes the needles appear lit.

2. Honda gauges...

Re: Gen 7 Low Beam bulb replacement (bmbrplt)

Don't mess with the screws. Yes, it should just turn but doesn't take much effort.

Re: accord 2003 headlamp HELP!!!! (MIdoriEK)

I did the exact thing you are talking about the other day when I put in my silverstars. Just pull the thing off the nipples and then straight up. It's a pretty solid piece so I wouldn't worry about...

Re: Halo Projector Lights (thepain)

I just put some Sylvania Silverstar headlights on my car and I love them! Very bright, white light that almost looks slightly blue on the road. Compared to the OEM bulbs, they look like HID's. I...

Re: Recommendations for shifter (Corruption)

Not sure about where to get a good short shift kit, but I can tell you where to get a great shift knob. Honda (actually it's Acura) makes a really nice aluminum accesory shift knob for $50. Looks...

Re: Auto Shifting? (Eagle16nam)

Manually shifting an automatic is perfectly fine. I'm fairly certain that if you downshift too early the computer will override your request (at least it should). Either way, modern Accords have...

Re: (sony224422)

One thing you could probably do is to modify your key and keyfob into one unit. The new Accords have the transmitter built right into the key which is kinda cool. For some reason the new Accords...

Re: New to Accord: Did the V6 come in a 5 speed? looking for a car (Charri)

This year is the first year ever to buy a V6 Accord with a manual -- unless you count the coupe which had that setup in 2003.

The 5th gens (94-97) you are talking about are really great cars and...

Re: 7th gen accord (Nick H)

The K24A4 is a very good engine. Although not much larger than the 2.2 it has a lot more torque and more horsepower as well. The layout of the engine compartment is totally different though, so not...

Re: has anyone ever bought from hid-light.com? (cheetah64)

Well, there are even better deals price-wise here in our marketplace....overall the site seems to have a lot of knowledge in HID's but is poorly written. Kinda makes ya wonder who wrote that stuff....

Re: (H23Si_PRELUDE)

SO you guys are saying I could go with a plug and play HID kit and put it into my existing factory headlights? Some people swear it will create glare, but a guy told me it would not. He reminded me...
