Re: EF Civic heater blower motor not working

By switch, I mean the device that has the power settings knob sticking out of it. I don't remember if it separates from the rest of the climate control, someone else will probably know though.

Re: EF Civic heater blower motor not working

Unplug the motor and use a voltmeter to see if power is reaching the plug. There are only two pins/wires -- power and ground so it's easy to check.

Re-reading your original post it does sound...

Re: EF Civic heater blower motor not working

Check and see if you're getting power to the blower motor. If you are and it isn't spinning, replace it. If you aren't, it could be the actual switch that is bad.

Re: 2000 civic lx plug wire fell off while driving now wont start

I agree with it likely being the coil -- I've seen them go when people pull off plug wires with the car running. The last bad coil that I had gave the same resistance readings as the brand new one...

Re: 1st gen B16A swapped guys, gas mileage info needed

I get the same mileage that I got with my d16a6. The only difference is that now I have to use premium. ~500km city, ~600km highway

Re: Help clearing mechanical inspection...

For the e-brake light, try disconnecting the wires from the top of the master cylinder reservoir. If the light goes out, that is your problem. The other common e-brake light problem on our Canadian...

Re: EF B-SERIES MOTOR MOUNT HELP PLEASE!

I bought non-brand name mounts, albeit not from E-Bay, and they have held up fine over the last five years. They weren't as cheap as you can find them and had a lifetime warranty.

Re: Removing the Alternator

Remove the master cylinder. Only two nuts and you can do it from above. Hands down, easiest method. Without disconnecting brake lines you can just hold it aside to pull the alt out.

Re: Alternator belt will not stay tight.

So the issue is that once the belt is tight, the bolt for the alternator tensionsioner becomes loose after a couple of weeks? Assuming that you are tightening the bolt enough, I would try a bit of...

Re: Unusual b16 ef problem

The constant speed stuttering that occurs in these cars is often due to the oxygen sensors being hooked up backwards. Try switching your two oxygen sensor pins at the ECU, reset it and see if it...

What planet is this on?

There is some ridiculous advice in this thread.

The main relay is under the driverside dash mounted just next to the hood release cable, as was already stated.

I...

Re: my RT4WD wagon

Really? So you're a fan of stock hondas?

Looks like a fun build -- always wanted to turbo a wagon after seeing those other vids on this site.

Re: downgrading from b16a to d15b2 (no start)

Because your car is already wired for multi-point, you might be best to just leave it that way and get a mpfi intake manifold etc.

With that said, I'm sure you can search the site for a write up...

You're using OBD1 injectors, so what did you do with your stock injector resistor box?

Re: D16A6 head, port and polish, mill, tune questions.

Are you sure the oil burning issue was in the head? Old d16a6s are pretty well known for burning oil due to bad piston rings...

Re: QUICK HEATER QUESTION...

ok so how can I check the blower motor to see if its good?

See if you're getting power to your blower motor (multimeter). If you are, the motor is dead and you need to replace it.

Re: oil on my sparkplugs. which gasket?

This will solve your problem. When you pull the valve cover, you will see a gasket for each spark plug tube -- these are the culprits.

I have no idea what BIGZ is talking about -- pulling rockers...

Re: Low Budget CRX (1st Build)

I would say $500 is more of a low budget build. I would love to see you do a high budget build -- what like $50K?
