A/F ratio is usually a pretty constant flat line type of graph and isn't really ever directly compared to the ignition timing map... unless of coarse problems exist.

Incorrect, actually the opposite. The higher the octane rating, basically the harder it is to ignite preventing pre ignition in higher compression engines. all automotive fuels burn at the same rate...

the bottom of the shifter where the linkage connects is probably more the cause then the bushings them selves. do the bushings when u do a shifter.

well i did pop the Timing belt cover off and it seems that the belt has been changed, i couldn't get the belt to stop with the brand name to face up to see what it says, but i do know that it has...

ohh yeah - i did check fuel pressure wich was about 34 psi. i also checked the fuel for contamination and alcohol% as well wich checked out to be ok. still a bit of winter blend gas but nothing...
