sorry, it wasn't clear. basically my question was, with the cylinder head off, and the t-belt still attached will I have enough slack on the timing belt that I will be able to remove the water pump...

well the pvc bypass was just a test to see if it was indeed the heatercore

system was ice cold, I started it and it started blowing out....I was certain that meant headgasket.

It really could go either way. On one hand if they get a big repair job (headgasket or engine) they'd probably net more money
on the other hand, they have to move cars off the lot, so I wouldnt be...

Believe it or not, I actually brought it to honda for a diag and supposedly they did a pressure test. They told me it was the headgasket and offered me $0 down on a new civic and $1500 for trade in....

Im sorry, Im know it was the issue b/c the pinhole got to the size of maybe half the size of a bb- and last week it finally split open about the size of a 1" papercut in the hose. When that happened...

up here in the north, the alt bracket is literally welded to the engine.
I just recently did the alternator...bracket wasnt coming off no matter what....

plan on finding a cracked one when you start tearing it down....easy enough to replace. think they run $40

yea, seriously. I redid a eg civic suspension...everything top to bottom all stock.. Got in, took it for a ride, no noticeable difference. Just change things that are broke, leaking, etc
