Re: High idle coast, lower idle at stop

Manual transmission? If my research is right, you have the K24. This sounds like the exact same problem several of us are having with that engine in the CR-V.

Re: 2006 Accord timing belt

Just finished this yesterday. As others have said, job is generally not hard, just requires patience for all the tight spaces and tool manipulation. Crank bolt gave me fits though. Split one...

Re: Looking at an '06 6spd V6...

Ours develoved a brake problem that traced back to the VSA modulator inducing air into the system. I consider working 06-6MT-V6 brakes exceptionally firm and grabby.

Re: 2003 Element EX loose driver seat

Agreed. Vertical adjustment. I had the same problem in my 02 CR-V, this fixed it. Not a hard repair, the biggest challenge is not scratching trim pieces with the in and out of the seat. Suggest...

Re: What to look for when buying 2003 s2000?

+1, I would worry more about what the owner messed up. Get as close to stock as you can find, by 03 Honda had the car pretty sorted. Visually, check for a VIN on each body panel, check the top for...

Rick's has it

I don't know if you can do better in the S2000 diff, it has a great performance record in the car.

Re: how do you replace the idle control valve on an 05 element

In my 02 CR-V, which also uses the K24, I found it easiest to pull the throttle body off and flip it over to do the install. The messiest part was unplugging the two coolant lines that connect to...

Re: Buying a 2005 EX-L V6 6-Speed Manual

Our 80k 06 clutch has a pretty crunchy feel to it, sure it is the master cylinder. It does not affect operation, just distracting since about 30k. That and some judder, which started around 60k,...

Re: Sunroof Exploded!

We were going to have the sunroof tinted with the rest of the windows and the tech advised against it saying it could cause a fracture in extreme temps combined with rain. BS, who knows? Only time...

Re: Purchasing Genuine Honda Parts for CR-V

Mostly Majestic and Bernardi for me, both have been fine with Bernardi having some good customer service in the case of some CR-V locks. I also like this one https://www.hondapartsdeals.com/

Re: how long are the orginal spark plugs good for on a 03 crv

Along these lines, I picked up used and the vehicle has 130k on it and no service records. Plugs looked great when I adjusted the valves and gap was spec. Running good. Can gap and condition be a...

Re: Thinking about Buying a Honda

I wish I could say the same, our 06 has had more than a couple issues, currently at 75,000 miles. The list:

- our V6 has burned about a 1/3 qt. between changes since new
- VSA modulator had to...

Re: accord build quality?

Sadly, I agree. Could be just luck but I have had less total trouble (as in none) with my 92 with 370k on it vs the 06 6MT EX of my wife with 75k (failed VSA modulator, squeaking clutch pedal and...

Re: 2005 Accord Ex: ABS Modulator Failure

You present yourself well, take the next step up to contacting American Honda. I have not had success in my dealings with them, but that really is probably your next best move. Best of luck.

Re: my first problem with the s2k.....

If it comes to this, after the fluid check, I agree. I can get the OEM setup to slip on a hard 1-2 shift if I really try, but it borders on abusive technique. I doubt I am any quicker for it and it...
