Re: Did I bend a valve?

you shouldnt need to turn the cam gear far enough to open valves that far. if the cam is already close to it's mark, then you shouldn't even come close to having any piston to valve contact. besides,...

Re: Did I bend a valve?

you shouldnt need to mark the placement of the belt on the gears. The timing on these motors is painfully simple. get the wrench out of there if you haven't already and inspect the cam and lobes for...

Re: stage 2 cams?

I'm a big supporter of D series motors...as long as you boost them. I don't know why people insist on spending so much money going NA and getting minimal results at best. If you like NA, swap a K or...

Re: Do I have to drop my subframe for a clutch job?

it's not absolutely necessary to remove the subframe, but it's soooo much easier to pull the trans out from the bottom. tricky part is supporting the motor from above, since you'll be pulling 3 of...

Re: ecu replacement question

ecu is no longer sending a signal to the crankshaft sensor? it doesn't work that way. the sensor sends a signal to the ecu. Properly diagnose your car or have a qualified technician look at it before...

Re: Fuel Pressure regulator??

^fuel pressure is not ecu controlled, it is static on these cars. the ecu counts on the pressure being consistent under all conditions.

Re: D17A1 vs D17A2

engine harness, ecu and key reflash. if you have them or can get them cheap, go for it. otherwise you'll see more gains from dropping the A2 head on the A1 block and running a vtec controller. take...

Re: Spark plug question... Please Advise....

it's normal, the heat glazes the coating on the porcelain over time. nothing to be alarmed about. if there was oil leaking it'd be a little more obvious and youd just need to replace the plug hole...

Re: Headers

they don't make it anymore because it wasn't worth the money. there is not a significant amount of power to be made to justify spending a few hundred dollars on a header for a D17. A 4-1 header and a...

Re: F1 CLUTCH vs EXEDY CLUTCH
