Re: POS HONDA SI

Re: Should I fix this dent?

is that even "fixable"? I mean, I know with the right amount of money anything can be, but that dent rippled up the trunk lid. its not exactly a pull it and flatten it out type of dent on a curve...

Re: 2010 Civic Odometer Jumped ~40,000 Miles After Service

in a perfect world, yes. But you are only one of the hundreds of thousands of civic owners that this has happened to so it is going to be an extremely low priority on Honda's part. Hell, on anyone's...

Re: 2010 Civic Odometer Jumped ~40,000 Miles After Service

the point is there is an added 40k miles on the car than there should be. if he wanted to sell tomorrow, it would take a hit due to some computer error.

Now, if he plans on keeping this car until...

Re: 2010 Civic Odometer Jumped ~40,000 Miles After Service

i was reading a few articles about rolling back electronic odometers and it seems that there is software that will allow you to do it, but im sure it is very tech-y and if the hardware is readily...

Re: Considering a 2006 Coupe, Need Some Advice

get the vin and ask a dealer if the vehicle had this issue prior, and if there is any extended coverage available. Not that I would worry about it at this point with over 100k miles, but it might...

Re: CV Joint/Axle

no, but it could be a simple spring isolater or mount creaking from whatever. I wouldn't worry about it until it gets more pronounced.

I just had my clutch replaced and the driver side made a god...

Re: 2010 Civic Odometer Jumped ~40,000 Miles After Service

I personally would still be concerned, but less with the fact that all the keys worked and honda stating it would be difficult to do in that short of a time frame. Still concerned though.

There...

Re: 2010 Civic Odometer Jumped ~40,000 Miles After Service

It could be the brand of the scanner as well. Some of the cheap ones are, well... cheap.

The one I bought (and somehow lost) from autozone like a decade and a half ago did not pull vins, only...

Re: 2010 Civic Odometer Jumped ~40,000 Miles After Service

I thought the ECU stores mileage, not the cluster, but I could be wrong.

even weirder is that the scanner can't pull the vin.

Maybe take...

Re: Moog rear control arms(non adjustable)

you answered your own question. They're non-adjustable, and just plain 'ol OEM spec so no one is going to use them. Go with the Dorman if cost is an issue, but if you want to spend $300+ then get...

Re: 06 Civic Rear tires wearing badly

the dorman arms are rebranded 1st gen SPC control arms, which have to be adjusted somewhat disconnected from the car. The build quality is actually good when compared to the other similarly priced...
