Re: (91SiZ6)

If you have spun a rod bearing, you have to pull it and get it resized or at least checked. You also have to have the crank checked to make sure it was not damaged. (I am assuming here that you do...

Re: (thevtecnician)

More than likely the main power wire that runs to your unhood fuse block is fried. Most of the voltage to your car goes through that block. Pull the cover off and inspect the wire. It also goes to...

Re: (IndySporty)

OK, just a little update:

I replaced the FPR with a known good one and I still have the same problem. The old one is now on my other running engine and working fine.

So, on my (Good) running...

Re: Engine Assemblers: Grease the backside of bearings? (Nisif)

1. The back sides that sit in the jounal should not be lubed. If you lube them, you will get an improper reading when you measure your clearances.

2. Do not use assembly lube until your final...

Re: Bad day.... need some help!!!!! (civicstar)

What he is describing does not sound like a vacuum leak. A vacuum leak would cause a fluxuation in idle, and probably an off-idle stumble. His sounds steady, just high.

Check to make sure the...

Re: clean pistons? and putting pistons on rods? (civicstar)

I also like to use B-12 Chem tool and a wire brush. I buy the little bucket you can get at Autozone for 15 bucks, that way you can reuse it. The problem with sprays is that they are so messy and a...

Re: ever had this transmission leak? (707EF8)

It is called an axle seal, and it looks like a small skinny donut.

Re: clean pistons? and putting pistons on rods? (TheLastSpartan)

Most machine shops will bead blast pistons to clean them or even vat them. When you do that, however (Bead blast), be very careful about blasting the lands.

Once upon a time, I was working on a...

Re: (teamredline9k)

For the most part, if your system isnt cooling, but it is fully charged, you usually either have a problem with your expansion valve or you have a bad/plugged dryer/receiver.

Re: Engine help (Youlose1305)

Re: newbie question (adam52604)

Just take the alternator in to the parts store and have them match it up. That way you get your core charge back at the same time too! https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emsmile.gif

Also, did you have any head work done to it?

If so, did you have the valve...
