Is the rest of the radio that the faceplate attaches to pretty cheap to replace?
I honestly never understood why these deter people, but I'll look into a detachable faceplate. Saw a kenwood that...

Help with installing radio in glove box

I just got a 94 integra that has no radio in it. The radio was stolen 3 times under the previous owner so they gave up and never bought one again. I figured I could avoid this by hiding it in my...

Re: Difference between JDM ZC and d16y8 engines?

Re: Difference between JDM ZC and d16y8 engines?

Oh, I ended up ordering an exedy 10.9lb. I'm not sure if it's the fact I have an actual 99-00 EX transmission, or the flywheel, but my mpg got worse and the gears are a lot shorter. I'm glad since...

Re: Difference between JDM ZC and d16y8 engines?

As all things go, I hit a roadblock. Looks like my flywheel has heatspots, so I need a new one.
I'm trying to find a fidanza or ACT for cheap right now. If I knew this, I would've gotten the combo...

Re: Difference between JDM ZC and d16y8 engines?

Thanks! As simple as it would be, I'd still like to have the actualy CFK censor, especially since we confirmed it has the point to put it on. I just dropped off the car today, I should be getting it...

Re: Difference between JDM ZC and d16y8 engines?

Alright I was able to take some pictures of the engine today. We looked for the circles with the manufacturing date, but it wasn't easy to read. My picture of it got blinded by the flash. Didn't...

Re: Difference between JDM ZC and d16y8 engines?

I'll be sure to take pictures of it when I can.
I'd feel better if the CFK was actually there. It should plug right to the harness if I transfer the y8 pump and CFK over, right?

also here's a...

Re: Difference between JDM ZC and d16y8 engines?

Yeah it's at the shop right now, I won't have time to drop by until Friday.

Re: Difference between JDM ZC and d16y8 engines?

It's on the right side, exactly where the dipstick on my y8 is. So I'll need to buy an oil pump? can I just transfer mine from my y8 and the crank position sensor with it? I have to core exchange,...

Re: Difference between JDM ZC and d16y8 engines?

This is why we're confused. We found nothing about VTEC ZC motors and I looked at the VTEC solenoid placement on my motor and the ZC and it has the holes for it. I'll have my friend check that...

Difference between JDM ZC and d16y8 engines?

I ordered a replacement engine from japanengine.com
As their name suggests, they sent me a JDM ZC engine that they said is for the same year as my civic: a 2000 EX.

When it got dropped off, my...
