Re: 1995 F22B2 coil

It's on a bracket right behind the distributor. You can see it in this video:

Re: 94 Wagon Cranks But No Start

I believe you can access the fuel pump by taking out the rear seatbacks. To do this, fold the seats down and pull up on the bottom left (driver's side) corners of the trim on the back of the seats:

Re: Rebuild transmission or let it go?

Do you do any of your own work? This can make a huge difference in the cost of repairs. Does the car have fresh suspension, motor mounts, ball joints, etc? These sort of things definitely wear out...

Re: 2001 accord 4 cyl timing belt kit. Where and which one?

This is all from memory of past H-T discussions, and much of it is opinion anyway, so take it FWIW:

-Bando has been mentioned as a serpentine belt OEM for Honda. I have also heard Mitsuboshi makes...

Re: Front CV axles?????

Auto or manual? I only have experience with an automatic trans, but it should go all the way in. The clip around the end of the axle end should snap into place inside the transmission. You should...

Re: I need to replace my Distributor. Do I first need to drain the oil?

I have had an ignitor aka ignition control module fail with the exact same symptoms many years ago before I really worked on my own car. The tachometer stopped working and in my case the car would...

Re: I need to replace my Distributor. Do I first need to drain the oil?

I hope you aren't going to replace your distributor just for an oil leak! There's an o-ring on the distributor shaft that enters the head which may be the source of your leak. There's also an...

Re: Cleaned Egr ports

A possibility that comes to mind: Vacuum leak at the injectors or somewhere nearby that got disturbed when you did the cleaning. Does it idle normally?

Re: 96 Accord LX alarm harness

I believe the factory alarm was a dealer option. If you have a Pursuit, none of this would even apply. Instructions for installing the OEM alarm are here:

Re: 97 Accord LX V6 timing belt and water pump

Some people insist on buying factory parts, but at least for the 4 cylinders, Gates is the belt OEM. People were having problems with the water pumps in the Gates branded belt/water pump combos...

Re: 1990 Accord Oil Light and Idle Problem.

Oil light could be due to a faulty oil pressure switch, which is near the oil filter under the intake manifold I believe. I would make sure it's faulty before changing. You should retrieve the code...

Re: Ignition problems??

The factory service manual also says to check the resistance between A and the coil output to the distributor. It should be 14-22 kOhms (14,000-22,000).

Re: 1998-2002 4-cyl accord oil pan gasket

I did this on a 97 a few years ago. I believe there's also a beam running front to back under the oil pan with the front jack point on it, at least on 5th gens. For me the hardest part was getting...

Re: 1996 Accord EX no start problem (extreme mode)

The coil steps up voltage from I assume 12V to thousands. A high voltage is needed to jump the gap in spark plugs. I’m not an expert on the igniter’s function, but I believe it controls timing. The...

Re: 1996 Accord EX no start problem (extreme mode)

I don't know if the F22B1 is an internal coil (meaning inside the distributor) as I don't have an EX. Have you tested the ignition coil to see if resistance is within spec? If you're still running...

Re: Noise after hitting a curb

Might be a tie rod end or balljoint. If the noise increased with speed and produced a steady drone, that'd be typical of a wheel bearing. Not discounting the CV axle either. None of these parts are...

Yeah, the front LCA has an eccentric inner bolt for adjusting toe. Make sure the mounting hole in the subframe hasn't stretched as well.

Re: Car is leaking oil..

Yeah, the o-ring is on the distributor shaft where it enters the head. There's another seal inside the distributor too. If oil is getting inside it, that's your problem. There is a writeup in the FAQ...
