I'm a huge fan of pioneer. If you're lookin for real basic, you could go with the deh-12e - prolly around $100. almost anything will be fine though. jvc, sony, kenwood, they all make entry level...

i'm not exactly sure how your system is wired up, but you could try diode isolating the wires coming from the alarm.

i think those alpine cd changers were designed to work with the factory radio, but i may be wrong, i don't really remember.

I guess i might as well throw my two cents in.

Between the alpine and pioneer, you can't go wrong with either one. I personally prefer alpine and i have the cda-9857 installed in my 96 accord.

if you have some fabrication skills, you could make a cutout in the door trim to mount the tweeter. i wouldn't recommend the double sided tape.
