Re: TheSpeedLounge.com Exclusive! JCR's Flat Black EK! (DJF5)

The car always runs fine but after all these years, can't you at least paint the car so it does not look like a POS.

Re: Help! Engine Noise (LS/VTEC)... video included (93preludes)

Since it is an ls/vtec, maybe the wrong head gasket was used and you are getting no oil to the top of the cylinder head and rockers, etc. I've messed with Hondas for years and never heard a noise...

Re: valve seal installation (calizum)

not for the inexperienced...no disrespect meant but if you have to ask (in this case) you probably should not be doing it.

Re: NHRA has announced a new sport compact organization (E-Town4229)

I read that as they are just pushing Javier up and out of the way. I don't see that as a positive at all https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emsad.gif

Re: suggestion on plugging a hole (2khb)

Try to find the right sized freeze plug at a parts store. You will need to knock it in.

Re: Hydrolocked NEED HELP PLEASE.. SEARCHED ALREADY (mochasi)

you really need to pull your piping off to see if it is plugged with water. The other thing you can do is a compression check to see if all is well

Re: How should I properly store a crank (ildknyli)

You must oil all the shiney surfaces or rust will form on the journals and ruin the crank. You store it up right so it will not warp. Keep it in a heavy plastic bag.

Re: rod ratio affects piston speed................................................? (ModenaTwinTurbo

Piston speed would be increased. If the piston dwells longer at the top, it has to go faster in the middle to complete the cycle at the same time. Kind of like getting a head start in a race but...

Re: Engine stand bolts (Chiovnidca)

You want to go in at least one inch and use all 4 bolts. 2 would go all the way thru the block and put a nut on the other end. You especially need all 4 if you are bolting on the head on the stand.

Re: how to check for bent/leaking valves..head is off car (Chiovnidca)
