My crx was getting around 43mpg avg and around 49mpg avg on highway runs. Thats with a d15b2 with mpfi/a6 cam and dx trans.

The 1.6 is a tooth longer or so and the tension might take up the slack. On mine I had problems with it slapping the belt cover so proceed with caution!

I had this happen from shorting out one of those ignition wires and it was just the fusable link in the fuse box...the 50 or 60 amp one.

I have the same problem in my car, the ticking is still there after numerous valve adjustments, I've tried looser and tighter clearances within spec and it ends up with the same ticking especially...

Man the rust on that thing is unbelievable, I've never seen it so bad. Its going to be so much better once you get new metal in there. You get my support on this one. It looks like a fun project....

I also recommend that you use some sort of sealant at all of the gasket surfaces on the valve cover or else they will usually leak.

Yea its a pretty big welder, it uses 220v if I remember correctly and it's a mig.

THe only prep we did was to grind all paint off leaving just the metal on one side. Now we were just doing this...
