you can but it has to be shielded wire. or else it can pick up interference and depending on what your wiring can be a nightmare.

looks like a mark from a dial bore gauge, it should be fine. if your nail is getting stuck on it then its a problem. if it doesn't don't worry about it. your going to make similar marks when checking...

well i usually ignore these post, i just love reading the people that chim in like they do it all day but i will offer some advice you wont take.

they will fit ls rods but you have to mill 1mm off...
