both the main relay and ignitor in the distrubutor (not part of the cap) will cause the symptoms you describe. In my case it ended up being the ignitor. Search around as there are plenty of topics...

I went with a hitch rack on my 4th gen. I did it for the cheap price ($50 for hitch, $70 for rack), but its nice not having the constant drag from a roof rack, or the paint scratches from a trunk...

92 and 93 ludes had standard gauges, 96 had EL gauges. I believe the dimmer works...

Not worth the trouble. Get an H23 if you are on a budget, those are pretty cheap. Or buy the b18, sell it, and take your profit and get a motor made for the lude.
