are you getting a CEL? my engine has never idled that high, even when it was in limp mode, or whatever... that was around 1.2-1.5k rpms

thanks JZ, that's pretty much the conclusion I have come to. The deck was cleaned and studs bottomed out.

The head was torque'd down to arp's spec very carefully. I am using a metal OEM gasket (three-layered) I had the head pressure checked as well. I really don't think I have a problem with cracks,...

hrm, I guess it could be a cracked sleeve, but I'm only running 5 lbs of boost (greddy kit). A cracked sleeve doesn't explain the coolant coming out of the headgasket though...

if you did turn the clockspring, it shouldn't be hard to find out which way it goes.... it can only make like 2 revolutions either way if I remember correctly... so if you're getting like 3 one way...

first you buy a helm's manual. no other manual comes even close. you can buy a hard copy from the company for $60 (worth it), or you can buy a bootleg pdf version for about $5 on ebay. I recommend...
