Re: 1998 CW ITR 98-0563

No clue. All components are in place, my uneducated guess is a 175,000 mile seal has just given up. Compressor makes no unusual noises and engages properly, but just seems as if it's not as cold as...

1998 CW ITR 98-0563

The time has come to part ways with the ITR. Since my move, I no longer have the garage space to store this, nor do I drive it as often as it needs to be.

Currently has 175K miles on the car,...

Re: LST / LS-T Turbo B18A B18B setups

I'm just past two years on a 400whp stock block/sleeve combo. Forged rods/pistons, but the block itself is stock. No need for sleeves/line boring at that level if the block has never seen prior...

Re: Is it possible to install a supercharger on an 2005-2009 RL?

It's a demand based market. Not many people own these, and the ones that do, leave them stock.

Granted, they are now falling into the hands of people who are able to afford them due to...

re: Suggestions: How can one effectively build a Turbo CRX for a Street/Strip purpose?

I mean, if I had some type of traction assistance, then yes, it would help. However, 350-400 is more than enough on the street and anything more is just overkill. My car is a true street car, not...

re: Suggestions: How can one effectively build a Turbo CRX for a Street/Strip purpose?

I'm using the street kit from GAW, running a cast log manifold and a forged/cammed LS in my ef.

With right at 380/300 and 15X8 drag radials, I still have traction issues. Any more power and the...

re: Suggestions: How can one effectively build a Turbo CRX for a Street/Strip purpose?

500 whp is way overkill for a "street" ef.

300-350 is all you really need for the street in that chassis. Anything else will result in a lot of wheel spin.

Re: Oil Feed / Return line configuration feedback

Yes, you're correct. I think it might be a t04b though (it's been there for awhile)

I mocked mine up before I installed it and that's when I noticed how difficult it would be to access. So,...

Re: Oil Feed / Return line configuration feedback

Buddy of mine suggested running the line on that side. I see it all the time on the cam gear side, but it just seemed to make sense to avoid all the plastics and mount if I ever needed to service...

Re: Oil Feed / Return line configuration feedback

I'll try and get a pic of mine today. I used a 90 degree coming of the turbo and ran it under the distributor side to the sandwich plate.

Zero issues so far, and it's really cramped on the turbo...

Re: Oil Feed / Return line configuration feedback

My ef hatch bay is incredibly cramped. I can't see how retaining ac in these cars is possible. I'm also using a skunk2 ef rad and a Spal 1350 as a pusher from the front. Zero overheating issues, and...

Re: **OFFICIAL FORCED INDUCTION RANDOM CHAT THREAD**

Start with the back of the plate and use all 4 holes to secure it to the bumper. That should stop most of the noise.

Re: LST / LS-T Turbo B18A B18B setups

SI RICKO, I watched your vid, was nice.

About those BoltBoy cam gear bolts, I've been reading/hearing issues on fb about them backing out/breaking over time. Might be wise to just re-use or order...

Re: LST / LS-T Turbo B18A B18B setups

My tuner stopped at 8K with my LS. 404 all motor cams and Crower springs/retainers.

He stated my log mani was the restriction in my setup. He stated if I had a miniram or full ramhorn, we could...

Re: Voltage drop under WOT

You would have to take that voltage reading at the fuel pump side of the relay while at WOT.

I also believe your issue is not voltage related.
