I had a similar problem with my previous car (DC2R with 2.0)... after 3-4 laps the vtec stopped to enganged, the problem was the oil cooler, removed the oil cooler and the problem was solved... ...

Been doin' the front splitter for better downforce, but as the OE front lip is very high, about 18 cm from the ground, I did a vertical piece to down the splitter 8 cm with a piece of aluminum, so...
