it's like that to keep fuel in the tank... the pump is being cooled by the fuel & you don't want to overheat it by running it down to E that many times.

to add: check the wiring to that sensor ~ maybe a loose connection to that sensor can be the culprit/ clean/ reconnect/ clear the trouble code & see if the same code returns

that points to a bad alternator; it's over-charging the battery if it causes acid to come out of the caps...

may take vehicle to a local autozone or advance auto parts that does on-vehicle testing...

yea i was quoted the same thing & i'm currently by-passing the trans line to the radiator

going to add a separate cooler for that; look around the mdx site about that problem, even with a new...

after you are sure that you burped the system & know that the water is flowing (confirming a good pump)...

it can be also a bad t-stat from the box... bypass it by removing it temporarily

yea, if you're going to drain and refill it 2 times

some members do it 3x in one service

others do the drain - refill one time when they also do an oil change

others change it once a year

took me less than a minute to look it up... (i used autozone.com)

if you VIN # starts with a 1, USA model

if you VIN # starts with a J, Japan model

weird though that the pics look similar;...

possible that you clogged the filter when you're sucking sediment from the bottom of the tank? or worse, overheated the fuel pump...

but in the pilot of that year, the filter is inside the fuel...
