I just replaced my battery with an optima battery and now my hid's do not work. I checked all the fuses for the lights and they are all intact. I tried using the older battery and that did not work...

Just check with a volt meter with power on or you can check using an ohm meter with power off for a short. If it is not there then check to see if their is a short on the horn side. I am not sure...

If you are not confident in your abilities you should take it to a shop. Many things can go wrong with changing the timing belt and water pump. The tensioner bolt can be a real pain, and some times...

Your spedo cable could just be loose. Their should be some articles about how to replace the cable make sure it is all tight and in place. It is not that hard to replace it.
