d16y8 d16z6 parts change

So I just bought a bare d16y8 short block and I currently have a complete d16z6 sitting in the garage. What parts can I transfer from the z6 onto the y8 and what else would I need to buy to swap into...

No crack or warpage of the head... im just leaning towards bad rings because the last time car was on their was a hesitation like a misfire.. plugs are black with a slight green tint on the tips.. im...

Update... compression reads 180 160 150 180.... im leaning towards bad rings.. what do ya think?

Is there any way to check for a warp head? Will the blown head gasket make the car not start becaise of coolant in the cylinders? Sorry if im asking too much question.. i really appreciate your help..

So what should i do about this if this is the case? Btw my reservoir looks a tad dirty and i have to put in extra coolant sometime last month because of over heating.

update: exactly what i thought it was, alternator was shot. replaced it and everything is back to normal.

Car is now completely dead. Wont start at all. Power windows and locks all work but car wont crank. Weak battery it sounds like. Can someone confirm that this is not an alternator problem?

Update: everything on the dash is not working at all but car is running fine. Can this be a sign of a dead alternator?
