Best Stock Suspension replacement

Looking for some options on replacing my stock strut assembly, they have over 200k miles on them... so I need a new set, one of them is going bad or gone bad.. I hear a clunk when going over bumps or...

K I picked up the dorman from Advance auto parts, will have my mechanic put them on both for $80 or just one for $40 if the other is not needed.

I wish I could've gone for the Moog but its...

Manually downshift it? Your tranny might be toasted, real common with these cars and you are most likely out of warranty/recall period.

Should I just go for the cheap Doorman or invest into Raybestos? Doorman with lifetime warranty or Raybestos with 2 years warranty?

The price for Moog is insane, its $250/piece... might as well get OEM for $150/each.

So anyone have any experience with Doorman? They are the cheapest, my mechanic said he was going to install...

The closest thing Ive found to a junk yard is from ebay... used control arm for around $60/each with 60k miles on it from an Acura CL 2003.

Still looking for UCA for my 98 accord... any feedback would be appreciated. I don't wanna go the cheap route but forking $150 for each side for OEM sounds ridiculous + $100 labor for both sides.

Ask Honda I didn't make the car. I have 186k miles on it, maybe that's why.


I don't know what part of the world you live in but where I live, we have massive pot holes and crappy roads all...

I have Nexen N3000 tires on my car at the moment. I just can't bear dealing with all my interior shaking going over bumps so I need to do something about it which doesn't involve buying a new car.

How are the KYB GR-2 Shocks for OEM replacement on a 98 honda accord 3.0L 2dr. I have about 186k miles on my OEM shocks, nothing blown or anything as far as I can see and the mechanics have told me...

2-3 times? Premature ball joint failure could be related to the recall by Honda.

Not yet, I'm going to buy the Moog brand from AutoZone and get it installed by my mechanic hopefully this Saturday.

In my case the Honda oem UCA is $140/ea, compared to Dorman Aftermarket for $76 or any other aftermarket for under $90/ea. I would gladly stick to OEM if it was under $100. The aftermarket parts come...
