ah yeah, i was thinking thinner -> flow better -> higher pressure but it does make sense that it would take more pressure to squeeze something thicker through a small hole rather than something...

ah got ya, would think once the motor warmed up oil pressure would go up due to viscosity. thanks turbo-ls, you've answered like every one of my crappy questions here and in the ls turbo thread. lol

noobish question:

is an underhood oil pressure gauge as useful as an in cabin one? figured you'd want to be able to see the oil pressure under load

so the b20 head is the same as the ls head, but with an 84mm combustion chamber and wider valves? so if i got a b20 head i could buy cams made for an ls head?

about what rpm would i see full boost? (considering a stock or relatively stock ls with 3'' exhaust)

was probably gonna just go with the journal bearing. the spool time on the journal seem to be enough for my application, and I plan on being overbored to 1.9 or 2.0 liters so would have enough...

yeah, bad to cut corners especially on the heart of your system. If I recall correct I saw someone with that turbo putting out mid to high 300's (whp) at around 10psi with nice torque and hp curves....
