Re: hi, i'm a newbie, greetings, salutations....need audio help =)

Usually the audio limitation is the head unit. They typically only put out about 17 watts of clean power (RMS) before the signal starts to clip (distort). If you can find a head unit that has a fused...

Re: Spark plugs in or out during timing belt tensioning

It doesn't matter. The tensioning procedure only rolls the crank forward a few degrees to use valve spring pressure to tension the front of the belt between the crank and cam gears. Any pressure...

Re: 92-95 Civic EG ODB Port

I use Hondash in my EG with a factory JDM P73 Type-R ECU (obd-1 to obd-2a jumper harness). Works perfectly. I just had to switch the power pin on the 3-pin plug to accessory power instead of backup...

Re: 3D printed rare Civic EG parts. Lots of pics!

For EG tweeter pods, would it be easier to adapt the EK upper half to the standard EG lower half? Personally I really like the look of the angular EK tweeter panels.

Re: Ek civic mini Cooper brake upgrade questions

I'm now at the point where I don't think the prop valve really matters. The old EG6 4-wheel disc in Japan had a special prop valve....but now Honda parts out there specs the same 3030 rear drum...

Re: DX MC to EX MC

ABS civics have 57mm front Pistons and use a 1" master (15/16" will also work).

Non ABS 10" brake civics have 54mm Pistons and use a 7/8 master. You can use a 15/16" but the pedal will be harder...

Re: Just picked up a 95 Del Sol

There is definitely a LOT of extra stuff to do to convert to manual. Basically identical to this Integra AT-to-MT swap video.

Re: 1997 Honda Civic 1.4i (EUDM) Crank pulley?

That un-used pulley is for AC. If it has a third outer smaller pulley it would be for power steering.

Re: 1994 Honda Civic HB - Part Identification

There is a collapsible knee shield that goes there. I'll see if I can find more info.

Re: B16 - Rotating Crank while CAMS at TDC

You will definitely bend valves. Cyl 1 and 4 will be fine, but 2 & 3 will have valves open too far.

Re: 2000 honda civic wont idle in drive and shuts off when hot

If you have a blown head gasket, it can overflow the coolant reservoir. Rent a radiator pressure tester kit for free at AutoZone and see if your cooling system holds pressure.

Re: 3D printed rare Civic EG parts. Lots of pics!

Just a heads up....I've seen EK tweeter panels in an EG and they noticably do not extend all the way down the gap between the door panel and window. EG sail panels have a longer tail (marked in red...

Re: Check engine light

I looks like the slot for the "chip" socket is empty. But I'm not really familiar with this stuff.

If you have another ECU of the same obd, you could plug it in and see if the CEL lights up when...

Re: '01 b18c1 in to '98 Civic LX

Well since you need to use your original engine harness, just get an OBD2a ECU from a 96-97 GSR.

Your going to need to add wires to the ECU for intake-air-bypass and other stuff a 96-97 GSR had...

Re: Fuel pump won't prime

If the dash doesn't light up that sounds like an ignition switch problem. Otherwise I would have thought it was the PGMFI Main Relay.

Re: Check engine light

Well if the connection from the ECU pin to the bulb socket + is good.....and the bulb socket - shows connection to ground, the problem would have to be the ECU. Possibly a faulty ECU or a chipped...

If your talking about the rubber mount attached to the subframe (by the steering gearbox), yes you can use the stock soft one from the D-series. You can also use the stiffer rubber one from a Type-R...

Re: Car door speaker replacement for 1995 Honda Civic LX

If your running your speakers off the head unit's built in amplifier, it won't matter what speakers you get. Headunits don't have enough power to drive speakers to their limit. Generally headunits...
