I think it is because some of the older Honda filters were being replaced by Fram made filters. But like you have said filtech had always made the S2000 filter.

Power locks were an option in Japan for the CRX and Hatchback but it didn't have a switch. It was more of the kind when you turn the key in the door lock and it locks the other door.

No, we understand and that is why we are telling you to get the new harness and fuse box from ED as well. It will not cost you that much and it will be plug and play.

Your wiring is messed up...

I hope you know this is not the only thing that is controlled with the heater knob. There is a door that opens and closes as well inside the heater core.

The VSS controls the speedometer and Odometer. The gears are probably stuck. Some people say if you push the reset button a few times pretty hard it loosens up the gears. If not you are going to have...

It is electronic. You are going to have to get an electronic vss for your transmission

No, your gauge is supplied a signal of how much gas you have. It is not the same wire that powers your fuel pump

This is correct. If you use a DA master cylinder you will have to change out the brake booster as well. The bolt pattern is not the same. You will also need the brake cable and brake lines from a DA....

Your best bet is to buy a new wire harness and fuse box and start from scratch.

I don't know about other states but I know in California if you have a salvage title it can be very hard to get full coverage/ comprehensive coverage, they will mostly give you liability only.
