re: Troubleshooting: Engine will not idle properly-Used a pin to lock open VTEC lobes

There is absolutely no benefit to lock the rockers on 99.999999% of applications.

Re: **OFFICIAL FORCED INDUCTION RANDOM CHAT THREAD**

Find a DynaPack, and you'll never want to use anything else again.

Re: Further testing with the 2007-2011 Acura RDX platform, K23A1 (DYNO)

The owner of the car eventually put it back to stock and sold it to fund a truck to tow his normal race car around.

It did this back in 2015 though.

Re: Make Forums Great Again, Volume 1: 2017 Civic Si initial dyno testing, reflashin

So I totally lied about waiting for a turbo to do more.

I instead tossed a clutch in it (after killing the stock one from the torque increase, and some... erm... abuse), and took advantage of the...

Re: Make Forums Great Again, Volume 1: 2017 Civic Si initial dyno testing, reflashin

I'm likely going to just wait until a turbo upgrade is available to do anything more.

I stuck it back on the dyno for shits and giggles the other week (had to test a software feature real quick),...

Re: Make Forums Great Again, Vol.2: 2017 Civic Type R initial testing and comparison

Correct, although I have posted several comparisons versus other factory Honda cars in the other thread (about the 2017 Civic Si), to provide a foundation for understanding them in relation to one...

Re: Make Forums Great Again, Volume 1: 2017 Civic Si initial dyno testing, reflashin

These plots are a fine example of early DynaPack software sampling of torque at the start of a run. :P

The surplus of torque at 2,000rpm is a direct result of loading the car down before the...

Re: Make Forums Great Again, Volume 1: 2017 Civic Si initial dyno testing, reflashin

UPDATE, 07/01/2017:

After a few weeks of playing with the car on the street and adding some ignition advance to it, I had some spare time this morning to toss the car back on the dyno. The run...

Re: Losing 50HP on Dyno during VTEC Cross-over

What exhaust manifold and turbo combination?

If it's a cast/log manifold, it's gonna' need VTEC real high.

Re: Horsepower limit of ID1000 & Walbro 450 on E85

Sprockets is correct.

The 274 part number is a revision of the 267. It is the ethanol compatible pump but with a higher pressure relief rating.

The 274 is the one you want.

Re: Horsepower limit of ID1000 & Walbro 450 on E85

I've had ID1000's/Wally450 combo to right around 600hp on E85 a handful of times, but like LightningTeg said, it took lots of base pressure and the injectors were at 100% duty cycle.

What fuel...

Re: Make Forums Great Again, Volume 1: 2017 Civic Si initial dyno testing, reflashin

I don't unfortunately; I will be plumbing the dyno's pressure sensor in somehow next time.

The engines themselves just aren't designed around making power at high RPM. No VTEC, small cams,...

Re: first time k20 turbo build STOCK MOTOR

Here's a few links about a stock K20, turbocharged, that lived a hard life from 2009 to the end of 2015 before breaking a rod in half at all but 800hp @ 34psi from a 6766.

BUT good luck!

Re: first time k20 turbo build STOCK MOTOR

Re: first time k20 turbo build STOCK MOTOR

I don't peruse around H-T too often any more, but this one caught my eye.

For the love of all things holy, if you plan on making 600+hp on a stock K20 block, stick some stiff valve springs in the...

You likely have the smallest unit in the regulator right now. ...

Re: 500hp+ from a Roots-Style supercharged Honda? Sure.

The IAT's on the Rotrex car started at 95degF and ended at 102degF after a 7.5 second ramp test.

The only real "con" to the Rotrex stuff is that you have to be very careful with fuel cut limiter...
