Re: k20z1

k20z1 and k20a2 TB's are identical. They are both cable driven.

get whichever motor you can find a deal on. There's not much point paying a ton of extra money for a motor that really only has...

Re: k24 swap into 89 crx si

I'm not sure where you get your information from, but hi, welcome to 2010.

The H series being a better motor hands down than a k24 is just ludacris. Stock for stock, maybe you've got something. ...

Re: k24 swap into 89 crx si

It's a k24, and I got a k24a4 with a fubar'd tensioner for free last year. They're pretty cheap actually.

edit:: OP make sure you are aware of the CRV mounting bracket you're going to need to get...

Re: k24 swap into 89 crx si

First off, do you know what you are doing with regards to actually building the motor? Do you know what parts need to come off of what motor (k20 vs k24) to build the hybrid?

Hasport makes mounts...

Re: cupholders in a crx?

I used a dremel to fit some old Camry (I think) cupholders in the CRX. They're the push in-pop out style, and I put them in the bottom slot of the center console. It took about an hour and the...

Re: New ASR rear subframe brace; Holes Issue

Ok so most of you guys say it's a waste of money and just for show to mount the EG/EK/DC style subframe brace to an EF, which I completely understand, as the swaybars in EF's do not attach to the...

Re: 05 Civic EX Drivers side bulb is out

technically you can change it out without removing that stuff.....but I would recommend just doing it the way Honda says to do it. It's much easier.

Re: K20 or K24 Trannys

Wow. Okay Mr. Cool. I can see now from your last post that you know everything. Look, I know that you are usually the one in this forum to step forward and answer peoples' questions, and I respect...

Re: K20 or K24 Trannys

ummmm....b/c you asked who makes mounts for a k24 tranny? Not "who makes mounts for a k24 tranny in a 7th gen civic". I didn't know you were asking specifically about 7th generation civics. I...

Re: 01 civic ex help

b/c the computer reads the value seen at the O2 sensor to adjust the fuel it puts into the motor.

Re: K20 or K24 Trannys

You asked who makes mounts for a k24 transmission when swapping a k24. Hybrid racing does.....sooo....it was relevant to the question that YOU asked. I never said they make mounts for 7th gens. ...

Re: HID Kit

I like the Silverstar Ultras. They wear out a bit quicker than usual though. Other than that, I think they look really good. The light they put off is more of a white color. I have never used the...

Re: O2 cell but only around 60mph!

Does it do it all the time, or just every once in a while?

Have you checked the wiring to the sensor to make sure it's all good?

Re: Alternative to Skunk2 Pro series front camber kit?

Get whoever sends it to use the USPS. You will still have to pay duty, but they don't rape you on brokerage like UPS does. I think Canada Post's customs charge is a flat $5 or something like that. ...

Re: DA front end on EF?

They all look like Barbara Streisand of the Honda world. Props to whoever made them line up that well and look stockish though.

Re: Do I need Antilock Brakes?

If you aren't going to keep the brake pedal slammed to the floor when your front wheels lock up you will be fine without ABS. I actually prefer non-ABS vehicles. It's easier to tell what's going on...

Re: K20 or K24 Trannys

Hybrid Racing makes a tranny mount to be used with the TSX 6 speed. I would assume all the k24 trannys mount the same. I don't think it was for an 7th gen chassis though. IIRC it was for an eg.

Re: K20 or K24 Trannys

In an EM2/ES2 I would opt for a transmission from a Type S or new Si.

Toyomatt is right, you have to use a transmission from a k20, whether it be 5 or 6 speed.....unless you have mad $$$ and want...

Re: 91 Legend C32A V6 in CRX

There has been more than a few Rear engined Honda's...

What are your plans for the car, as in, what do you intend to use it for?

Re: Accords > Civics?

This^^^

It's all about supply and demand. IIRC the Accord Euro is top of the heap over in the UK as far as circuit racing goes (not sure what class, whatever Jason Plato is in lol)
