Re: ***The Official JRSC Thread***

No. Just going with parts I already have in my garage. Eventually I'd like to build a custom TVS or electric RWD assist system. Few years off on that. Too many race cars in the work to tackle...

Re: ***The Official JRSC Thread***

Pulled my motor for a refresh and on a whim decided after 12 years of running this setup that it was time to try something else out.

Will try and post on ebay this week.

Re: ***The Official JRSC Thread***

I've pulled my motor out to refresh and have decided to sell my supercharger setup. I'll be putting it on ebay, but I'd like to find a good home so thought I'd post it here first.

Re: ***The Official JRSC Thread***

Thanks for the complement.

Been doing a lot of road racing; wrl & chump the last few years. Along with the rest of my racing and life in general I don't get by here very often. Glad it is still...

Re: ***The Official JRSC Thread***

The calculator is based on roughly what your 1/4 mile trap speed and weight would translate into WHP. This typically translates to a DynoJet with standard setting however dyno's are subjective as it...

re: ***The Official JRSC Thread

Was the stock gearing 38 & 38? If it was then the overdrive would be 1.47. You can use the calculator as is just put 1.47 in the stepper pulley section.

re: ***The Official JRSC Thread

The larger motor allows the blower to make the same CFM, but at lower boost. Lower boost allows the blower to run with better adiabatic efficiency. ie cooler IATs. Cooler temps may translate into...

re: ***The Official JRSC Thread

At anything less then wot the dynomax vt muffler is quieter then the twinloop. I ran a 2.5" twinloop from 2004 to 2013. In particular it has no highway drone which the twinloop doesn't completely...

re: ***The Official JRSC Thread

As you are aware 60mm is 2.36". I've never seen a 75.72mm [or 3"] twin loop, but a custom one is certainly possible. My point was a true 3" is very rare and that many retailers sell 3" mufflers that...

re: ***The Official JRSC Thread

Excellent advice if you can find a 3" twin loop muffler. I'm not aware of a true 3" twin loop muffler; 3" internally. I've only seen 2.5" twin loops with a 3" adapter welded on; have one in my...

re: ***The Official JRSC Thread

I'd be concerned with clearance issues within the blower. Hot metal expands... Highly recommend water or water/meth injection preblower in this situation.

re: ***The Official JRSC Thread

If you don't have far (ie 40 miles or less) to go put a fully charged battery in. You can go quiet a distance on the battery.

Re: If you were to Supercharge? Brand & Why?

There are dozens of B series motors making 275+whp and a handful making 300whp or slightly better.

You shouldn't be posting about superchargers. It wasn't long ago you were trying to tell me...

Re: If you were to Supercharge? Brand & Why?

The d series and non-vtec B series uses the m45. The vtec B series uses the M62. The K sereis uses the MP62.

The m45 is capable of about ~210 whp; 160-180 whp is a more typical build. The M62...

re: ***The Official JRSC Thread

230whp is at the bottom end of what you should make on petro with that setup.

What altitude are you at? What is your ignition timing and compression?
