Car dies while driving, RPM drops to 0

Just looking for suggestions.

While driving, after the car warms up, the RPM just drops to 0. Sometimes the tach goes crazy, but usually it doesn't.

Now I know this is typically a bad ICM,...

Re: How can i get in contact with cc-fab.

That's in Alabama.

HHHotrex is not.

But it's worth a shot.

Re: How can i get in contact with cc-fab.

The owner only has one eye now.

If he originally welded it with two eyes and it fell apart, do you really want him to weld it now?

Re: pilot bearing help

I just set my flywheel on two boards of wood so the bearing was off the floor, found a socket that fit in the hole on top of it, and pounded a couple times with a hammer, was easy.

Re: Jorsher's LS-VTEC CRX (videos too!)

Yeah it can be loud but cruising it isn't annoying and it doesn't have the raspy/ricey/rattling sound. The only time it's "loud" cruising is when I'm driving ~70-80mph and it's sitting around...

Re: Jorsher's LS-VTEC CRX (videos too!)

The CC clutch feels nice with the kit. Obviously it's a little stiffer than stock but you get used to it and feels "normal" after a day or two of using it. I'm sure it's a load better than the...

Re: my gas milage sucks. whats wrong?

How I test mileage:

- fill up tank
- set tripometer
- next fill up, write down how much gas it took to fill it, the miles on the tripometer, and reset
- divide miles/gallons

For reference, I...

Re: which way does the dizzy go?

It can go 180 degrees but like the previous poster said you will have to force it, and don't expect the distributor/cam to enjoy it.

If you look you can see a slight offset.

There's only one...

Jorsher's LS-VTEC CRX (videos too!)

Hey guys, I'm just going to copy/paste this from another forum but thought you may be interested. It's no K or J but is still a fun little swap.

I haven't done any aesthetic mods and probably...

Re: Ignition timing problem

Head - B18C5
Block - B18B
Cams - B18C1
Cam gears - PR3
Water pump - 22T
Distributor - TD68U (OBD1 GSR)

Wouldn't retarding the cams cause performance loss? or no?

Re: Ignition timing problem

Well the idle improves as the timing gets closer to where it should be. If I could get the ignition timing where it should be, I think it would idle just fine. The timing is about 12-16 degrees too...

Re: LS-VTEC cannot set timing

Yeah I'm trying to source a distributor so I don't have to buy one that may not fix the problem, and am not having luck with that.

No idea where to go from here.

Ignition timing problem

Mechanical timing is perfect, I checked it while the engine was out the car.

Vacuum lines are all where they were the first time I drove it and the timing was fine.

It idles around 500rpm and...
